So does this mean that we dont suck?

If you just read this game thread, you'd think we were the worst team in the country. We're not great, but not as bad as many make us out to be. Especially after beating an A10 powerhouse like Saint Joseph's.

In all seriousness, we really need D'lo next year. If we have D'lo next year, we'll be very, very dangerous IMO.

Happy for the guys.  It wasn't pretty, but they competed tonight.  Congrats boys.  On to the next one.

In the NIT nothing is more dangerous than a hungry team.  Virginia is probably disappointed they didn't make the dance.  We have to take advantage.

I don't get the NIT brackets.  As a 5 seed, we get to play a 1, but in the next bracket down, a 7 can play a 3.

  I'll take Obekpa's 6pts, 8 rebs and 3 blks ( all huge) over....

  Ron Roberts 10 and 7 ( 6 in 1st half)

Pretty basic 8-team bracket without re-seeding...

Don't understand your point.   SJU could play an 8 as well.

If upsets happen then you can get a more favorable matchup.

roberts was a bigger kid than I thought, sort of a banger. Kind of slow, but was not afraid to mix it up. Admitted was afraid he was going to light us up tonight.

FTR- The Lipscomb stuff doesn't bother me at all.  He played a grand total of 7 minutes and the time I actually watched him on the court he did nothing that screamed "get him out of here".

Much a do about nothing if you ask me.

+1 Baldi.  There is value for our team to be playing in this tournament.  St. Joe's isn't a bad team by a long shot, and most of the remaining field is pretty good.

Lipscomb's playing is odd to say the least, but whatever.  Actually seems confident passing the rock.  Noticeably slow on defense though.

Yes, he didn't really hurt us...I'm not even saying our scholarship players would have given us much more. But if this is supposed to be a learning experience for our players, don't you think you would rather have the guys who will be getting minutes next year in these games?? (ie Branch, Marco, CJ)

PS - I assume Felix is out with the injury he suffered in the BET, but has the team put out a statement regarding his status? I haven't seen anything

Looking at the bracket on ESPN, it appears that the winner of the Iowa (3) and Ind. St (6) game plays the winner of the Mass (2) and Stonybrook (7) game.  If the ESPN bracket changes based on the results of the games, I get it.
