The law of averages are on our side IMO...we are overdue to have a 3 pt specialist. When was the last time we had a true scorcher from behind the arc? It's about time we have a 3 pt guy pan out and do what he was brought in for.

Bootsy Thornton.  Kid was a killer our there with a quick release...

I love bootsy, remember him as a good shooter but not  a great shooter. Remember him as more of a scorer then a shooter. Has been a few years though

 How i remember him as well. Was streaky. if he got hot, like Duke game, he was unstoppable.

 He was also a great offensive rebounder who got a lot of points on put backs.

Thornton averaged almost 50% from the field and 37% from 3.  He was certainly a streak shooter, but got hot often.  Had some killer games and was a very good rebounder for a guard.

I remember and always like Chucky. Came from Denver or at least the state of Colorado, if I recall.

Chuckie had a big game (14 pts ?) against Syracuse for a win.  Best he ever had - if my memory serves me.  Was billed as huge scorer with some very gaudy high school numbers.

If I recall, he had a strong 90-91 NCAA tourney.

You know what I mean. Well, you do if you saw them both play. Thornton wasn't half the athlete that Lopez was.

Coach C never saw him play live and gave him a scholarship...  I love coach Carnesecca but this was not one of his better moves. This is the same man that didn't want to fly to the west coast to see Gary Payton play when all he wanted to do was come to St. John's - ughhhhh

I think you guys are too tough on Bourgault.  Last year was the worst possible situation for him.  We have a team with only one other threat from the outside, no inside scoring threat, horrible ball movement, no true PG, a below average team bball IQ, etc. 

You could tell he has a high basketball IQ and wants to take good shots.  He was reluctant in the beginning but I got the sense that all he heard all week was "when you get it shoot it you...you need to be more aggressive." Nobody else can make them at all, so him shooting hurried shots was probably the best shot we could have hoped for. 

Minutes are going to be enough toughe to find this year, but I expect him to come back as a much better player with a year of film, conditioning, and knowing what to work on.

He could give a clinic on putbacks...no wasted motion...ball was up as soon as it hit his hands...very smart player
