Lipscomb will be a superstar (or help get a superstar) by the time it's over.

Amazing v. L'Ville

“@GoodmanCBS: Wichita State with just four turnovers and we're almost at midway point of second half.”

For all those who live and breathe by rankings-

Luke Hancock

Rivals- 0 stars.  Not a whole lot in terms of writeups on his page.

Hancock said he also considered Belmont, Toledo, Bradley, Wichita State, Radford and Coastal Carolina.

Damn Pitino must pay these refs well...good god. About as atrocious a call as you can get at the end there. Clear reach in foul called a tie up and possession L'Ville. Absurd.

Wichita State, because Hancock and Gregg Marshall are from the same home town.   Gregg played his ball at Cave Spring High (also JJ Redick's high school) and Hancock at Hidden Valley High - both in suburbs of Roanoke, VA (about 25 miles from where I live).  Gregg has terrific recruiting contacts in southern Virginia.

He deserves to have terrific recruiting contacts everywhere.

He's been a tremendous coach for years, but now everyone has gotten a chance to see it for themselves.

He was given a scholarship because he is such a good shooter. Pitino has been talking about it lately  - the lack of kids that can really shoot is astounding.

Hancock has proved himself to be much mor ethen a spot up shooter though.

“@GoodmanCBS: Rick Pitino elected to the Hall of Fame. Not a bad day for the Louisville head coach. Not a bad week.”

He transferred when Coach L left for Miami.

Apparently Larranaga gave Pitino a glowing report on Hancock.

Kevin Keatts, L'Ville assistant, coached him at Hargrave and is reason Hancock transferred there.

Fair point, I understand about the Keatts connection I was just talking about the reason why he left GMU to begin with.

As for Pitino he told Bill Raftery that when he asked Larranaga about Keatts Coach L told him: If you want a kid to do the little things then Hancock is your guy.  If you want a kid to take and hit a big shot then Hancock is your guy.  If you need a guy to defend and get a big stop…..well perhaps Hancock is not your guy!!!!  LOL!!!
