Thon Maker - C - Carlisle HS - Australia

Honestly, if we are talking one and done players, I'd most want Thon for a year.  His potential is off the charts and he wouldn't upset the balance of the team at all.  Imagine Thon, Yakwe, Freudenberg, Ahmed, Sima, Owens up front?  Our athleticism would be off the charts.  We have the guards and speed as well.   Hopefully Slice stays in his ear.

Think it's time we move on.  Not ready to land 5's  yet but if we want to tease ourselves, he still would have one official left after these three plus Kansas that he saw recently which I think was official too.

Maker did take an official to Kansas, but I believe it was only a one day event for him.  I believed he stayed longer at St. John's, and it was an unofficial.  LOL

Do you know this, or are you predicting this? I don't think Lavin is going to UNLV. I don't see that working.

As someone else pointed out in another thread, didn't UNLV just live through a "Lavin-type" experience with Rice (who was an alum as well).  Rice recruited well, but had major failings in the coaching and program development standpoint.

How is he pressed for time?  Someone like him could wait until August and have no issue getting a big time school to take him.

I believe he knows where he is probably going anyway, ASU, unless he spurns college for some reason.
