If Providence had enough fans we would've been playing them at MSG for years, instead we perennially play them on campus.
I think that speaks for itself.

And I'm not sure the league will be expanding anytime soon, so the current fan bases will need to step up.  This year will be a test run.   I think there's more than enough support for St Johns, Nova, Georgetown, Marquette etc to sell out the finals and semifinals of the league's tournament.   I ust don't expect it to be the same as it was  tHe old BE tournament was unique, never to be replicated.

I recall a mid week Pitt game at MSG during the many many down seasons when there were less than 4K.  And Pitt was really good.  Providence fans can do a lot better than that.

In 10 years, there will be a whole different group of people in office---with different priorities.  The Garden will likely remain right where it is.

I agree with Simply Red,  msg just spent a billion on renovations they will find something where it can remain.  If it did move I don't think it would have an impact on tournaments.  As long as it remains a first class site.

No, but we might miss our trains.

The Tobacco Road bias is alive and well. I want to see the NC schools other than Duke and UNC approve NYC. They couldn't approve DC for heaven's sake. NC is the destination state in 95%+ of ACC Tourneys - book it.  Duke and UNC want it to further help their poaching of NYC talent.
