Seems like a really good kid who has had poor advice and lacked a mentor to help him.

He's gotten plenty of good advice and ignored it.  Everyone is entitled to their opinion but I can't root for this kid.

I realize i'm probably in the minority of people still rooting for him. Out of curiosity, what do you and other fans have against him?

Would be a cool story if he ends up making it.  I can't hold a grudge against a 17-18 year old kid who was/is confused about college.

Worth a shot in the second round..

I want him to make it so I can feel that we took a chance on someone that was worth the risk. We recruited the kid twice, and it would lessen the pain if he was actually the real deal. With his rankings in high school being all over the place, I'm pretty curious. I saw a tweet (may have been zagoria) that he outplayed Plumlee and Olycek (sp. Kid from Gonzaga) in a workout. I'm not sure if good workouts can overcome for his carelessness while in school though. He'll really have to convince someone that he's willing to work otherwise he'll be off to europe.

While his advisor or brother or whoever made the dumb comparisons to KD is quoted a lot, he received plenty of good advice and people were there for him.  He chose to quit on things on multiple occasions.

And for Boo its not a question of holding a grudge on a 17/18 yr old kid.  I just cant root for someone who was given a load of god given talent and skill and pissed it away on multiple occasions.  Maybe he learns, but odds are in favor of not happening.

He might have outplayed them.  But the sample size of 1 workout vs. what the other two did in college is huge.  Those two can have off days.  Pelle can't.  Frankly I'd never draft the kid even if I had 8 picks in two rounds.  He's unreliable.  I can see him quitting at any given moment.

What has he pissed away though, at this point?  A year or 2 of college?  Something he was clearly never interested in.

If he's drafted in the second round or makes a team as a free agent, what did he piss away?

The story has yet to be finished.  I'll root for a happy ending..

I'll put at least as much effort into rooting for him as I did Ernest Brown and Jermaine Bell.

Same here.  It would be a nice story to find out in a couple of years that he's learned to harness the talent he has and stay focused on his goals.  I'm rooting for him.   It's not as if I'll lose sleep over it, but I hope he does well.

Brown played 3 years in the NBDL - averaged 12 pts and 6 boards.  Which happens to have been his exact averages at Indian Hills JC (his only college experience).     He got a call-up for 3 games with the heat in 2002.

Last I heard of him, he was playing in the Chinese League in 2011 - so he pulled down a pro hoops contract for at least a dozen years....he'd also played in Greece (Cypress), Puerto Rico, Venezuela, and Bulgaria.

And according to Google, Bell is playing for Jacksonville in the ABA. He led his team to the championship and was MVP.
