Hooper 2.0?

Junior Max Hoetzel has NBA RANGE Top player in 2014 class
When I read the rivals write up. I was disappointed. But, when I saw the video I was impressed. Never can have enough players who can put the ball in the basket.

This kid looks like he will fill out physically, can shoot, handles decently & worth monitoring. I believe his family also noted a doc's opinion that he may grow a few more inches.  Who knows?

"St. John’s is now recruiting forward Max Hoetzel, a perimeter threat who attends Massachusetts prep school Wilbraham and Monson. San Diego, Pacific and Loyola Marymount all have offered the California product."

This kid needs some good old Big Apple exposure.  He is lights out and reasonably mobile.  Perfect end of the bench guy with an upside

For our sake I hope he doesn't get too much exposure until he plays his college ball in the big apple.
*wipes ketchup from his eyes* - I guess Heinz sight isn’t 20/20.

Let's get after him. We need big bodies. This kid sounds like he has some game.

A kid at his size that can shoot like that is an asset.  Look at Doug McDermott.  Kidd seems to be decent both inside and able to hit shots at any range.  Also a kid who seems like he's 6'8" and will still grow quite a bit.  Wouldnt mind a kid like this.  Seems like he knows how to score and board, and KOB seems to think he's worthwhile as well.

If he's really 6'8" he'll be more than an end of bench guy. We need height and Sampson can't go all 40 minutes next season.

Reminds me of Nick Eppehimer, a former Marist player that averaged 17 ppg in 2002-2003.   I'd say a little quicker, but very similar.  Nick could have played at a higher level.

Not bad. Would be great if he was Gordon Hayward. Would be even more great if we got him.
