Fox Sports, not as good as advertised?
« on: November 22, 2013, 11:49:20 PM »
This weekend I took a trip to the Bethlehem  Pa. Area and while staying at a hotel was stunned to find that there was no Fox Sports station available. There were all of the ESPN stations etc. but no Fox Sports.  I have friends of mine that also live in other not so populated areas that don't get Fox sports as well.  What gives?  Is it not part of most cable packages?

I'm  happy every game is televised. I went out to dinner last night(I live in S. FL) and sat at the bar. The bartender turned the channel and I enjoyed my meal and watched the game.

FoxSports 1 and 2 should be part of Cablevision's basic package. Still, I've DVR'd STJ games on Cablevision channel 403 in Westchester, and the picture quality was like 1985. The game itself was not.

FoxSports signed a 10 year deal w the BE. It's not an impressive start.

Other than FX2 not in HD on Cablevision, I have been happy with the game telecasts.

Hey guys, remember how Microsoft NEVER had a glitch when it rolled out a new OS.  Or the Obamacare website was perfect at launch (as we all expected).  I don't understand why people complain so much about things (especially tech related) not being perfect from day one.

Btw, Linda M., I'm not sure where Bethlehem is (I guess I could look it up) but I'm pretty sure FS1 is available on Comcast in the Philly area.  Try putting some foil on the tips of the rabbit ears.

My friend got the game on at an Applebees in Wilmington, Delaware last night.

fs1 and fs2 in full hd with comcast here in Seattle, and i know Comcast has a stranglehold on most of the west, including almost all of CA.

Blue Ridge cable in Pike and Wayne counties in NE PA has had Fox 1 and 2 since day one however TW only has Fox 1 as part of my package in the city--need to pay an extra 8.95 to get Fox 2.  quality is very good on both

Fox Sports is not as good as advertised because a hotel that Linda frequented has a cable package that doesn't carry it.

There we have it folks.

FS1 will be distributed to about 90 million U.S. households, according to Fox.

That actually isn't why Fox Sports is not good. They are not good because they do an awful job at carrying a sporting event. It's Fox. I expect nothing less. F'n nice persons.

They seem to be doing okay to me.  High  quality picture and announcers have been ok.

He doesn't want to admit it was a motel not a hotel and he did not sign in for enough hours for the cable package that carries FOX Sports. Let's just hope that she was a fox at least!

Wow a network that actually cares about our conference and has actually put more on the line for us then we deserve....How dare those bastards do that! Knock on Fox all you want but if  FS1 is as successful has Fox news network I will be doing back flips of of the SJU library...love FNC or hate FNC, how is it that one cable news channel dominating their competitors and is always being talked about. If FS1 can be that successful then we are lucky fans indeed.

Personally I like seeing SJU commercials on Fox during primetime and fox 's NFL Sunday... maybe we can break away from them go back to ESPN and ask if they can have SJU commercials during their reruns of the ultimate crossfit and strongest man tournaments...
