Hey Felix', thanks for sacrificing a year of your career so Rusheed can go home for Christmas break

I agree with whoever said the reason for Felix playing was Lavin realized Hooper is not going to contribute meaningful minutes.

Felix played 10 mins with Rysheed out.

Yeah I think he takes whatever sporadic minutes Marco Hooper was getting

Sacrificing his career?  He played last season and has 2.5 seasons left.  A bit of an exaggeration, no?

For foul trouble, pressure defense, press, small ball....coach knows this is the year to pull out all the stops...even if he only made a big difference in one or two games...

If coach wanted to take minutes away from Max he should just play Jordan/Dom/Branch/Green the extra minutes.   Those 4 guys couldn't collectively take on 8 minutes combined?

He played 10 mins with Rysheed out, now he will get more mins with Jordan back? Wasted a year

I agree, just figuring it from Lavin's perspective. Who knows though, guy started a walkon in NIT

Felix played 10 minutes . 0 points 0 assists. We scored 90 points. Why should he EVER play?

Lavin should have promised upperclassman from bigger conference schools that they would get the ball and start if they transferred -- and then give the ball over to a younger player and shave those guys minutes.  Oh wait ....

Not necessarily a wasted year.  If Lavin believes he will have his entire backcourt back next year, then he could just as easily redshirt Felix next year, which might make more sense considering next year Branch, Greene and Harrison are all seniors who will require major pt, and Jordan will probably be the stud PG we all expect him to be, leaving zero minutes for Felix.  At least this year Felix gets some playing time

In addition, why worry about next year?  Time we win now.  If Felix gives us some decent minutes, then so be it.  I don think it harms us in any way to take him off redshirt.

As Lavin said -  Felix being activated had nothing to do with Rysheed.

Take it for what it's worth, but I think Felix proved in practice he deserves PT now, and Lavin rewarded that. Lavin also could have realized were better as a pressing team, and Felix shines in that type of defense/set.

LOL no.  There has to be a conspiracy.  Baldi swung and missed on Jordan transferring, so now his looking to make contact with his next swing.

Marco Marceau's shooting 67% from 3 in a limited sample set so seemingly deserves increased looks and there's no way that the parallelogram's play should be cut even 1 second.  So if Jordan's returning,  then I'm no fan of lifting Balahoo's redshirt.

Too many cooks spoil the broth.

Other than the guys he trusts completely, Harrison, Sampson and Greene, Lavin likes to get um... "creative" with the rest of the rotation. Having Felix allows him one more person to throw in and out with no rhyme or reason. Better not to worry or even think about it.

In fairness his Greene leash appears a little shorter than last year though.
