Sanchez was swarmed by Cuse zone. It was probably the most difficult zone he has ever faced. He did look rattled and never got going. Accepting that he did not play well Sunday against quality competition, I am confident he will be a key contributor in BE play.  A ten & five guy is perhaps all he is, but to me that's fine.

Sanchez played a great game today.  I hesitate to give him a compliment because I know the inevitable NBA talk will follow and we all know where I stand on that.

He just does so many things that I like, I wish he would do it more often.  I love when he has the ball on the low block and faces up.  Even if he get pushed out a few feet, he's still such a weapon there with his vision and passing ability.  We could get him the ball there at will literally all game...why is this a once in a while play for us?  We could run our entire offense through that for a few minutes at a clip.

It was nice to see him on the offensive boards today.  St. John's is always at its best when they are cleaning the offensive glass, but this year it (and last) it has been one and done with the exception of a few insane volleyball sessions here and there (three times against Syracuse). I guess I just want him closer to the basket on both ends.

Sanchez is a very good player overall.  His biggest criticism is that he's a first year Juco in D1 as a supersenior and is just learning the level of competition.  I have a hard time criticizing because he has a lot of skills, and despite his poor game, he had excellent ones vs Fordham and San Fran.  I think his lackluster performance vs Cuse was certainly brought on by their defense.  Couple that with the fact that this was only his second game getting big minutes vs a top 4 team and not Globe Tech.

I think Sanchez will be big for us down the stretch this season.  He's great  the open court and really a nice point forward.  Its too bad that he only has one season to get acclimated and going.  Most JC guys can't show their full potential in their first season at D1.

Mostly agree, but I think a fair criticism is that he hasn't been aggressive enough up till this point.   Going into tonight he had attempted just 8 foul shots, that's way too for a guy like him.   Hopefully as he gets comfortable he can take advantage of his offensive skills more.

This is my biggest problem with him.  He came into the game tied with Jordan for third on the team in offensive rebounding at a very poor clip for a big.  BTW, I need to mention I love Jordan's explosiveness to the ball on both ends.  Sanchez needs to be more explosive.  He has to be a good big man first before he can worry about the other aspects of his game that will make him a terrific all-around player.

Now, USF and Fordham had very weak squads so we can't go crazy.  Sanchez was pretty much allowed to sit back on his heels and use his better combination of size, length, and skill to overmatch them without a ton of effort.

I just really like him in the low block area.
