I'm predicting SJU does just that tomorrow.

I keep going back and forth on who I want to lose that GTown/Providence matchup.

Gtown.  You don't want them coming in off a loss.  That's always my logic.  Same goes for Hall tomorrow playing Marquette.

Me too.  I was gonna start a thread about the upcoming BE schedule and who we want to win.  Either one helps us but both hurt us too.  At this point, I lean toward rooting against G'town because we would go ahead of them in the standings.  Also, I think Providence has the tougher schedule going forward.  They will likely lose a few more games.

Gotta root against SHU, Xavier and Marquette because we want to jump past them.  When they play each other, it depends on the situation at the time.  With  10 team league fighting for so few bids, it is really tough.  In the old BE, if you finished top 8 you were almost guaranteed a bid.

Speaking of scheduling, anyone think that Creighton having to play Friday night and then play us Sunday and the Hall having to play Tuesday and then play us on Thursday, helps us? I think it does to an extent-less prep time, mentally with quick turnaround, physically with travel and 2 games in 3 days.

We re getting closer and closer. Not worried about other teams. We just have to keep on winning and take care of business.

Sure it hurt them just like our early season schedule hurt us a bit too.

West Virginia with a win over Iowa state. They are going to be tough to keep out of the tourney if they keep playing like this in the toughest conference in the country

Those mountain men tied Iowa State to a tree and made the squeal like a piggy.  (My 2nd Deliverance reference recently.  Gotta watch that)

Several teams who are listed right ahead of us on Lunardi's latest bracketology have already lost this week!!  Some of them are pretty bad losses too.  If we can win two this week, I'd expect us to be in on Lunardi's list next week.

Tennessee (Lost to Florida)
Flordia St (Lost to Miami)
Providence (Lost to Georgetown)
LSU (Lost to Texas A&M)
Clemson (Lost to Notre Dame)
Ole Miss (Lost to Bama)

Just did a quick look-see at Pemeroy's Basketball rankings as of 2/12/14

STU - #39  Seton Hall #94

Big 10: (aka Agent for Change/destruction)  only has one team: in the top 10 (Iowa #8) and three more in the top 20 (Michigan St., #12, Michigan #13, Ohio St. #16 and Wisconsin #17.

ACC: (Looks like the 'best' conference to me)  Three teams in the top 10: Syracuse # 2, Duke #3 and Virginia #9  and one more in the top 20:  Pittsburgh #15.  Some of those names sound familiar, no?

Big East: Two teams in the top 10: Creighton #5 and Villanova #6  and no more in the top 20.

Wichita State from the Missouri Valley Conference with its 26-0 record is underrated at #11.  Have to investigate who they've beaten.

People were crushing Marquette too saying they're not good. Well they are currently in 4th place in this conference.
