@jeffborzello: St. John's has "activated" redshirt guard Felix Balamou because of Rysheed Jordan's absence (family illness). Interesting.

Not looking to start a riot or panic, but am sensing something is up here. Activating Felix makes no sense.

So this pretty much means we have seen the last of Rysheed? Why else would we activate Felix now?

If Jordan was just going to miss one game, why would we need to activate Felix? To me it's a sign that Jordan could miss a significant amount of time and we need to start working another guard into the mix. It is known that Rysheed has had a lot of personal issues back in Philly that the staff has had to coax him through. It all just adds up to something bigger than missing 1 game to me.

Has the deadline passed for Jordan to transfer and play second semester next year?

Oh man just when he starts playing well he could be done. Why else would they waste a redshirt year for Balamou over 1 game vs. an underwhelming opponent.....

Maybe Felix has just been looking really good recently and Lav's wanted him in the rotation? I'm gonna go with that for now...Especially with sheed coming on strong recently, would hate for him to leave.

Maybe they always planned on reactivating him once he was healthy and in shape......Coach Lavin always indicated it was a temporary wait and see decision.

I see Rubin tweeted his mom is in the hospital. I hope she is OK.

It does seem odd to activate Felix when the team is really beginning to jell..

 I can't see how he gets decent minutes this season unless...

unless....we're going w full court pressure more and more....we can only hope.....by the way, when I said fREE Jordan....this is not what i had in mind.

It could be because his mom is not doing well and he could miss a substantial amount of time if she doesn't recover quickly. Always family first. I don't see why he would transfer he's been playing great and getting minutes on a team that will push for the tournament.

I could be wrong. No matter what though hope his mom pulls through.

I always said I thought he could be good....Maybe he learned how to shoot in the past few months...besides Jordan he is probably the most athletic player on the team IMO

Accepting that, with all their guards why activate another slasher? Does not make sense. Starting him was also ridiculous IMO. Strange place.

Players have awful body language today. I see Obekpa  is finally in. He should be starting. This is ridiculous.
