Youngstown State Game

I'm hoping its temporary and that he's home while his mom is in the hospital, but somehow I doubt that is the case. 

Why would you doubt that is the case? Geez man, his mom's in the hospital, lets at least give him the benefit of the doubt for a little while.

Geez Felix was in the air for 2 seconds pulling down that offensive rebound

he's got serious hops, if he ever gets his outside shot ...he could be a major factor down the road

I doubt it because Balamou was brought off redshirt.  Plus we've had issues with Rysheed before.  I hope the best for Rysheed and his mom.  I just don't prefer the scenario.

Reasonable to have concern for sure, to doubt that he is actually gone to be with his mother is pretty selfish IMO

Jordan home to be with mom who is ill. Lavin activated Felix. Why is the question of day. Never a dull moment at SJU.

Nice to score 90 plus points I guess, but rebounding & defense sucked today.

Plenty of things to like on the offensive side.  We pretty much could do whatever we wanted.  Only Iona and a few others play worse defense than Youngstown St.

Defensively we played terribly.  Rebounding awful in the first half and got better in the second.  Certainly, it seemed, when Sanchez was in the game.

Really missed Jordan on the defensive end.  I know Youngstown St. has scored decently this year and they have the preseason player of the year in Horizon, but we can't be letting them score 80 plus points.  Far too many lapses and reliance upon the blocked shot. 

Was disappointed that Branch didn't step up.  He needs to if Jordan is going to be out a prolonged period of time.

Don't know why for all the negativity. It seems like the game was never in doubt in the second half. It was a shoot out, which happens. Tell one team this year which has not let up at all in a game this year...especially before Christmas break. This is a first game is awhile where our defense is not stellar. As of right now I am not concerned.

From what was reported Balamou was injured and Lavin said he came back from his injury earlier then expected. So as of right now it seems like this had nothing to do with Jordan, if anything it is could be extra cautious.

I could be wrong but even this week Lavin was saying how important Jordan is to the team, and hasn't his mom been unfortunate sick for awhile?  So this issue should not be new. Here is to Jordan's mon getting better.

Loved the ball sharing today. Everybody contributed which is awesome. How many guys in double figures?

Edit: Only 4 of em, but Dom seemed like he was all over the place and Jakarr had a couple of jumpers to go along with running the floor a couple of times. All around loved the offense in this one. 

3'lo shouldn't go unmentioned, he has really improved his offensive game this year, with drives to the hoop and a much improved midrange game and getting shots off the bounce.

I think both the fans and coach Steve feel winning this year is a must. If coach feels Felix can help us win, he's in. Win now.

We scored 90 and only had  13 assists?   That's troubling. 
Our foul shooting  is improved over last year.  I know that's not much consolation after the Cuse game, but our shooting from 3 and the foul line is statistically better by a decent margin.

Further complicating rotation and reducing someone else's minutes.  Can't play ten or eleven every game. Unnecessary move at this point, unless something else is going on. I know, the horse is dead!

This team really needs Jordan, you could see today, they missed his defense bad.
