Problems here go well beyond what guys should be playing, etc. Coaching melt down is obvious.

Well beyond ? Where is, and why is there a meltdown. Really, what is happeneing here ?

Hooper not only shouldn't play- he should nt be on scholarship . Not a big east player

You show a lack of understanding of the game by making a comment like that. Hooper is the best shooter the school has seen in ages and its like he is a robot. He is far from a great athlete but athletes alone clearly don't win basketball games.

Even in garbage time today Georgetown was clearly aware where he was on the court and was hedging to have man near him when they could.

People have been talking about a "roles" for players  - Hooper has a role and he is not being given an opportunity to perform his role. Al

I have to imagine there is somewhat of a discipline problem.   I think a lot of Lavin's seemingly random benchings have a lot to do with crap that goes on during the week.

I'm sure that's not the whole story.   Lavin could be tripping on LSD when he decides the lineup.   But I imagine some of it is keepign guys in line.  We've seen that over and over again - late for buses,  late for practice, unknown violations of team rules.   I just think it's not being made public anymore.

@NYPost_Brazille Lavin said starting lineup mostly about how well Balamou and Ndiaye played in practice and wanting to shake things up after Xavier L #sjubb

 ‏@NYPost_Brazille
Lavin also said it could get worse before it gets better. Said team needs to "sustain" play at both ends. Not doing it now. #sjubb

Lavin said his biggest mistake was not playing Ndiaye more, liked what he saw from the walk-on who did hit a shot and draw a charge.

THAT was your biggest mistake coach?   Really?

Can you imagine if he was coaching in an area that really cared about college basketball?   Our media let's him off the hook so easily.
The sports radio shows in Kentucky or Lousiville would be inciting a riot now.

Didn't watch garbage time. Cleaned the house instead . Agree he is a decoy. The defense knows where he is at all times . Then we play 4vs4. If pointer or obekpa are out there then it's 3vs 4. We can't compete that way. Obekpa had an open 12 footer , they didn't just give him the shot they ran away from him. Not daring him to shoot, begging him to shoot

Just don't think this team is as talented as everyone thinks. Each player has major flaws and none can shoot at a good clip.

21% FG
0% 3FG
44% FT

I think that's it in a nut shell. Players had potential coming out of high school based on their athleticism, but if you can't shoot, dribble, or pass, games like this will happen. Nothing to do with preparation, imo. GT made baskets, we didn't. With regard to the starting line up, I'm more frustrated that Jordan isn't starting, foul trouble aside, I think he needs to play as much as possible. I think it was made clear today why Branch hasn't been getting extended minutes. Sanchez has been a disappointment. Our best scorer shoots sub 40% for his career. Only thing I think we could do is implement a diamond press for 40 minutes, don't think that's Lavin's style though, but its what we should do.

He should have played more. Great young man, but Sampson has been terrible. He is going to lose minutes to a walk-on and people are worried he may go to the NBA.

5 different starting lineups in the last 6 games, with the last 2 being absolutely bizarre.  You just do not see these types of things in college basketball.  ANYWHERE.
