Probably to talk about strategy. Telling them to milk the clock.

Rysheed has special skill. Just needs to get experience.

I like our 3 guard lineup a lot more now that they've played more together.  That 3-guard lineup includes Branch, Jordan and Harrison though, and not Greene.

Our best lineup by far is branch, Jordan, D'Lo, Sampson and Sanchez.  IMO,  Gift has been more valuable than Obekpa at both ends.  I really like what Gift is contributing.   I like the guys we have been playing, even if we haven't yet hit our stride.  Our offense seems to be improving a bit as we move along, especially our transition game.

I guess we won' t hear from Linda for a few days.  "She'll" be back in time to predict a Creighton win.

3 in a row it is officially a winning streak, and some joy in Mudville.

Nice win, but we are far from redemption.  Need to get to .500 in the big East and then we'll talk.  Need to upset Creighton now.

Butler is really bad, but a good road win anyway. Let's see if we can someone how take down Creighton. If they win tonight, they're likely to be ranked for our game.

 Ah, she's harmless.

This is not a knock on Phil.  He has a definite role on this team and seems like a great kid.  But his stomach illness may have been a blessing in disguise.  We have been calling for Branch to play with Sheed and D-Lo all year.  Look at what freaking happened today.  The ball movement, passing, having multiple guys who can create shots for themselves or others.  If our starting lineup against Creighton isn't those three plus Sanchez and Sampson, then I honestly don't know what the hell our staff is looking at.  Spell those guys in spurts with Dom, Chris, Gift and Phil (and occasionally Hooper, especially if we get zoned).

Butler isn't a great team by any stretch.  But Hinkle is a difficult place to play, and Butler has beaten and/or played tough against other good teams this year in that venue.

Maybe even #20 ish. They're already ranked in the coaches poll and are the first unranked team in the AP.

Shot selection was almost perfect today.  Outside of a few ill-advised shots we really played extremely well on offense today.  Defense wasn't too bad either!

Why does Sampson always pump fake when he's wide open only to shoot it after the defense D's him up?

He hesitates a lot...he received a number of great passes during the SHU game in the key...all he had to do was go up...propensity to put it on floor...or pump fake...

But, props to him...had a great game...good kid too...

I think that was our opening night lineup...when Jordan made a few errors, he fell out of favor

Nice win.   Say what you want about it being just 1 game, and Butler not being great, but there were times today when we played some pretty good basketball.
This was just a good win.  Not perfect, but everyone played solid and efficient basketball.  There's not a lot to dislike about a game like this.

Real happy for the guys.   Maybe things are coming together.
But, for the life of me I can't understand why it took coach until now to start giving Branch big minutes, and playing him with Rysheed and D'angelo.   That seemed like an obvious move to a lot of us even in November.
