Creighton predictions

I just can't bring myself to predict a loss to Creighton. Maybe it's because I've been to Omaha, and it was truly a revolting experience. Here's hoping we come to play, and get out of there before spending any time with the locals.

Admit I havent seen Creightin this year. A few thoughts, They play tough at home which is true. However they have been a mid major. How many really yough games do they play at home every year? Pointer and Branch were top defensive players in the country out of hs. jordan is also very good. Harrison played very good defense vs Cuse. We should have guys capable of guarding them, no matter how smart they are. Being smart is a skill. Being fast and athlettic is also a skill. Their coach will have them prepared hopefully our coaches will do the same.
I have no idea of a prediction. I am excited for the game. I have been critical  of coach. I hope he proves me wrong. I think we can win. A close loss will hurt. Getting killed is not acceptable.

If Jordan and branch get significant time again, we win.

Have to have a good first 4 minutes, can't fall behind 18-4 to these guys the crowd will be bonkos.

This is going to be a tough game. This team can score a lot and score extremely quick. We have to be careful or this game will be over early. I'm more worried about Wragge then McDermott because McDermott you know is going to get his points but Wragge as he did a Villanova can embarass you. We need a win here, it would so wonders for this team and the season but I just don't see it. I think they make too many 3's and we just can't keep up.

Control the boards and attack the rim all night, and SJU will win.  But I don't think Lavin is coaching these guys to consistently attack the rim in the half-court - except for the one on one plays by Jordan and Branch when the clock is running out, and the occasional pump fake move by Sanchez, the team usually goes for a jump shot when in the half court game. Creighton has struggled against athletic teams that beat them up on the boards and draw fouls.

I expect to see more of Gift tonight to help on the boards, and not much of Obekpa because McDermott and Wraggie are stretch post players.

Also Kar needs to be very aggressive and use his talents to outshine their forwards, not only in driving to the basket but also in boxing out McDermott and Wraggie. 

That said, I think soemthing like 80-71, Creighton wins.

I'm feeling good about this game. Team now knows they can win on the road and in the league. Like others have said a lot of it comes down to the first portion of the game. Cant let them get out to a hot start and have the crowd bury us.

Im going with 78- 70 us.

Dlo, Jamal, Rysheed combine for 14 assists, 14 boards, and 42 points.

Damn Vegas has us at 7 to 1 to win this game. Yikes.

The door to the wood shed is wide open.  I see pain....Creighton 83, STU 74.  Team leaders:  Branch 5 assists, Dlo 5 rebounds, Sheed with 17 points. NCIS is less frustrating to watch.
