Down 4 with McDermott scoring 20 and , from what I saw, nothing from Harrison and Sampson, or Jordan...

Is that our team's first post move score of the year?

After he hit that baby hook I turned to my son and said "I didn't know he could do that". LOL

I thought melo
McDermott is much better then I thought. Never saw him before . Best college player I have seen in a long time

He's almost like a more polished, less athletic version of what Melo was in college.
Am I crazy in thinking that?

i thought melo. What was Christian laetner like in college? Was kind of young

Laetner was a great shooter - best all time 3pt % shooter at Duke I think

Our defensive effort reminds me of a game we played in 2009 against Notre Dame. Norm let Harangody do all the damage and noone else was able to beat us, especially McAlarney. Only difference is McAlarney kept shooting and missing defended shots that game whereas McDermott is taking and making pretty much all the shots this game.

I'm as big a lavin critic as there is, but he hasn't done anything that's "killing us" in this game. Getting the starters rest all at once right before the TV time out with McDermott on the bench was a good move. If McDermott was nt from another planet we'd be up. The D intensity is actually really good.
U don't send out a checking line down 10 on the road. We are only down 4. I am happy but kind of shocked. We easily could be down 20. So far they have McDermott . They may be smart. But we are much better athletes. Game isn't over . We have a good chance

Ok, Rysheed picked up two quick  fouls. Harrison and Branch started the game. They can't be expected to be out there for the entire half. We went a few minutes without either on the court. Lavin wasn't "killing us"
Maybe I am being a jerk. It worked. Lately his ideas don't work. I don't agree. He is the coach and it worked. C'mon coach win this game for us

Kevin Kugler, the PbP announcer is one of the best btw, if you've never heard him.. Probably not super knowledgeable on STJ though..  He does a lot of WestWood 2 NFL games

Have to rebound and stop taking contested shots early in the clock

How was that a foul?

Looked like he hit him on the head with the arm to me.

Looked like a 2nd leading scorer in college basketball call to me.
