Creighton Game Thread

McD may hook on a ton of plays, get's benefit of doubt on calls, but is he good or what.  Creighton also runs a nice offense to free guys up. Oh well!

We got effed on the last two calls.  McDermott hooked his man.  Then rysheed gets a bogus charge.  Its game.  It was our game.  Refs effed us in this one. 

A lot of mixed emotions right now....

should have gotten the offense going in the beginning in the 2nd half.

nice comeback , don't understand the D at the end at all. notice no one leaves D'lo open at the end

The Rysheed charge was criminal. That was a 4 pt. swing.

This one hurts!!  Free Throws really killed us.

We can't keep falling down by double digits and then deciding to pick up the intensity.  Bring the intensity from opening tip and we'll start winning these types of games!! 

it is beyond me how we leave the kid who ended with 39 out of 63points wide open with the game tied under 10 seconds.. what the hell its either these kids have a hard time processing assignments or there was real bad coaching there. how in the world dont you let any other guy in the gym besides MCD beat us. im sorry i think the guys are to blame on that one. i cant imagin elavin didnt stress a million and one times in the huddle that any body but MCD beats us. that was horrible.

It was Obekpa. He got block happy. Thought the PG was gonna drive so he cheated into the lane. He was assigned to Doug

CO just wandered into the lane expecting the guy who brought the ball up to go all the way to the hole.  Then he was too late to get back to McD.  I don't think that is on Lavin at all....CO just got lost on his assignment..

Despite that the gam was tied...it's like the 49ers blaming the blown fumble call on why they lost the game. The got the ball back and scored and had a chance to win the game. Te 49ers blew the game not the refs...this game should have went into OT...

You are right.  Complete bs on Jordan's charge.  They made the opposite call twice before on the same exact play.
But.. we can't go 9mins without scoring.   If you don't make a field goal until the second half is almost half over, you dont deserve to win.

That said - Mcdermott obviously hooks his defenders, and Jordan got whistled for nonsense.

Almost like they knew CO would wander into the lane to go for the block.  Great play call by Creighton.

Another lavin coaching blunder. Obekpa has to be guarding the inbound pass and Sampson has to be on Doug. There's just no excuse for that

Wisconsin was not "down to the wire".   But it is clear our guys rise to their opponent in some instances.

We won the game before that.  McDermott shoulda earned the obvious offensive foul on the hook.  Our ball, our game... 

The refs weren't great but they didn't cost us the game. We can't go 8 minutes without a field goal in the 2nd half against these guys. We can't miss big free throws down the stretch and we can't give MCD that much space
