73-59, Sanchez has big game if he gets the time

Actually, if you think about it.  Needs2Go has been sort of a good luck charm.  Ever since he bombarded the board with redundancy, the Johnnies have played their best ball of the season..

Maybe his head exploding is not such a good thing?
After a few more victories, Needs2Go may get all Prince on us and become "The Poster Formerly Known as NeedstoGo," and eventually change again to NeedstoStay  :)

We control the entire game, things get hairy with about 3 minutes to go, but we hold on again thanks to D and his FT shooting.

St Johns' 101
Seton Hall 68

Lavin signs a 10 year 35 millions dollar contract after the game

Branch and Sanchez are co players of the game as they both go for double doubles

In limited time, Branch has played well lately. While I don't expect him to be a leading scorer any particular game, it wouldn't shock me if he was. Making fun of him in any way, especially at this point in the season just feels, I don't know, kinda dirty to me. FWIW, I think you have some valid points regarding coach, but he's a pro. Branch is a damn good backup PG. We're lucky to be bringing that kid in off the bench.

When Norm was here, we didn't even have a backup PG until year 4.

STJ 78, Seton Hall 65

Rysheed Jordan drops 18 again to go with 8 assists. Obekpa continues to score with confidence and drops a new career high 15 points while pulling down 7 boards and blocking 4 shots.

Think we win . We have better players . Team is playing smart. Man defense is good. They won't get open 3's that have killed us in the past . Snow may keep many fans home. To much on the line to lose . We win 76 - 68. Agree Sanchez and branch have big games

Ironically this proves his point completely that Lavin has absolutely nothing to do with SJU turning things around.
The reason for SJU success is good teams choking, asst coaches coaching, and needs2go constant berating of players to get them motivated. Lavin is just taking all the credit...what a dirt bag.

Watching the Hall/Marq game and they need to defend the three against SHU. But also Marquette is terrible and they're sticking around with the Hall. So who knows really.

I predict a close game and the Johnnies pull it out.

A little scared of the trap game though.

Very happy we are on a good run. Think coach deserves credit. However I think he was stupid to play so many guys, especially the wrong ones. Can't give him credit for tightening up the rotation. Just common sense .

Hall vs. Marq. box score hard to believe. Hall shot lights out from the field, lost and final score not close. Marq knocked down 30 foul shots as a road team. Hall fouled 25 times. 5 Hall players with 4 PF's. Teague scored 4 pts. We gatta go to the hole Thursday. Their guys not gonna want to foul..

KW not a happy man tonight after loss;

Willard hates us just as much if not more than Cooley. Coming off a big loss at home they should come out with some passion on Thursday. Just have to match it

Paultzman, you are like a walking encyclopedia for current information on the Johnnies. Is it Johnnies 24/7 in your household?

I picture Sanchez busting out in a big way too playing 35+ minutes in the game tomorrow night.  I love that guy.

Go Orlando!!!!!!!!

In limited time, Branch has played well lately.

The key word in that phrase is limited.  Branch is perfect in a role where he plays 3-5 minutes a game and relieves the guards.  He seems almost overwhelmed when the situation gets bigger or he is asked to do to much.  He should never be allowed to take anything but layups.  These players have to play to their strengths and weaknesses and it is a known fact he cant shoot a lick.  You can almost not even cover him and play 5 on 4.

Remember the key to the season

3+5=W

This game scares me.  I think I had more confidence going into the Creighton game than I do this one.  Hopefully we avoid the letdown and play to our ability.  If we do:

SJU - 78
SHU - 62
