also, there are definitely a preponderance of ACC guys working the college basketball circuit, but the way i see it, that's mostly because that was all coach K could graduate; tv analysts.

That was a dandy, dandy.

Christian laettner, grant hill, Shane battier, JJ Redick, Elton brand, mike dunleavy, Carlos boozer and many more take issue with that.  As does lee melchionni (sports agent), all of the duke grads who are head coaches elsewhere - Collins, Dawkins, amaker, etc,  not to mention a host of others wih "traditional" jobs. You know jay bilas is a lawyer and successful at a law firm too, right?

Laettner and Brian Davis run a successful real estate investment group which has dramatically improved parts of Durham.

Billy king and others are nba executives (though not sure I want to claim ownership of billy king).

Not sure what would even be negative about graduating tv analysts, but your dislike of duke is misplaced.

I actually think Bilas is great. One of the few ESPN people I really respect

He's awesome at what he does, but he started getting bitter a while back and stayed that way. I remember speculating at the time that he seemed like a guy whose marriage was ending.

Nice of you to group me in, Amase, but believe it or not I did not play basketball at Duke for Coach K.  Shocking, I know!  If I was just using successful Dukies I'd be mentioning that sophomore who is a porn star in her free time to pay for school, Richard Nixon, and Leslie Chow/Ken Jeong.

BTW attendance update:

Big East announced 13,000+ for tonights games
ACC announced 10,000+ for their first round games

I really think this whole new Big East wont draw thing and the ACC and MSG will conspire to terminate the Big East's contract is a bunch of bull. But tomorrow and on will be the real test.

Did any of our attendance counting fans go last night?
I was told nobody was there.

Yea, my brother said it was empty, but there were people scattered in the far reaches of the 200s, so the tickets were sold - just not used.   Im assuming thats the allotment given to the teams.

Not liking this SHU Nova game. If Nova comes back to win I can't see them having two off shooting games in a row. SHU wouldn't be an easy game and a loss to them would hurt way more than a win would help. Of course this is all moot if we don't take down Providence today

If the Hall wins we may have to win the T to get a bid.

May be wrong, but Nova will win this. SH likely to tire & Nova can't continue to shoot so bad, can they?

Nova doesn't have to shoot good to win this one if SHU keeps throwing the ball right to them
