Nicholas Richards 2017
« on: March 05, 2014, 09:26:52 AM »
I saw the Long Island CHS Championship last night.

He is a 6'11 freshman from Rosedale.   Long and athletic.  A typical Lavin recruit.

If he grows another inch or two or three or not and puts a little muscle each year, he is going to be an all-time great long island player.  He can already hit his foul shots (some of them.) He will develop a nice touch.  Obviously, needs to get stronger.

Needs to get on our radar now!

Agree w all that, but remember he hasn't even had his ninth grade summer yet.  I can never tell but to my eye he looks like with moderate effort and coaching, he is going to be amazing.....the prototypical Lavin big.  He doesn't have an ounce of fat or muscle.  The latter needs to change.  No idea about attitude or work ethic.  He seemed like a nice kid  At St. Mary's, they make sure their kids are doing their schoolwork.

Where is he from?  Is he new to basketball?

Remember watching a game on TV earlier this year and I thought I heard something about a young big from Jamaica.  Guessing this is the one they were referring to.
Remember who broke the Slice news

The replay of the game is available at MSG varsity ....Holy Trinity vs. St. Mary's.   He got two quick fouls in the first half and had to sit.  Watch the second half and you'll see what I'm talking about.
