Marquette Predictions
« on: March 06, 2014, 11:35:26 AM »
Earlier in the week, I had a bad feeling, but I always have a bad feeling about us late in the season, because I'm used to it.

Still, I think we are more talented than Marquette. We know we can beat them, and teams that we've beaten the first time, we've beaten the second time as well. Not perfect logic I know, but I think it helps that the our guys know they should win.

I think we rise to the occasion, and win the game 78-64. Harrison and Jordan combine for 40 points. Obekpa blocks 6 shots, and pulls down 11 boards.

Like Johnnies by six. M'Q shoots as bad as we do & their guards don't get the ball to right folks. One wild card is Mayo, who is a feast or famine guy. We can generate some TOs like last game,  if I recall correctly.

The Prince of North Philly is a terrific nickname. "Savior" should never be used again for any STJ player. Ever.

I admit it is a tad optimistic for our program.

73-71 SJU

Obekpa dishes to Sampson before getting fouled and Jakarr delivers a tomahawk dunk with three seconds to go. Obekpa smiles.

Picked them in the weekly pool because it's hard to not pick them, but the reality is they don't win
big games.
