Would love to see SJU and Iona matchup.  My only concern as a Johnnies fan (and not a multiple hat-wearer like Baldi) is that Cluess and your boys would be sky high for this game, while I have a feeling our group is not going to be motivated at all for the NIT.

Probably the case. We weren't motivated for Xavier in our house, not were we motivated for Providence. A first round NIT loss wouldn't surprise me one bit. People actually attending the game, that, would surprise me.

Didn't SJU just play in that?

That scenario didn't work out so well for Kentucky.

Iona has been to the Dance more than us lately.  They should be down and we should be excited about playing this game.

@PaintTouches: Source says Marquette did not turn down an NIT invite. Simply didn't make it. #mubb

NIT seeding has nothing to do with NCAA selection.

And Maryland did not get in.  Wow win over Virginia in the season finale, RPI in mid 70's.

CBS was not implying those 4 teams were the last OUT including Georgetown.  Georgetown was not one of the last 4 teams out of the NCAA;s.

My point is that if the CBS guys thought that their resumé was that good that they just missed a bid (ahead of us, for instance), one would think they would be a higher seed in the eyes of the NIT committee.  Frankly, I don't think they deserved to be in NCAA discussions at all.
