Anthony Lee is transferring from Temple; might be a good fit
« on: March 18, 2014, 03:46:48 PM »
From cbssports:

forward Anthony Lee has decided to transfer for his final year of eligibility, sources told CBSSports.com.

Lee can play immediately at his next destination, taking advantage of the graduate transfer rule.

The 6-foot-9 forward averaged 13.6 points and 8.6 rebounds this past season for the Owls.

Because he can play right away, expect multiple high-major schools to get involved. Lee racked up 11 double-doubles last season, and is active on the interior, both rebounding the ball and contesting shots. He finished his career at Temple with a 17-point, seven-rebound, three-block performance against UCF.

I hate to comment on players I don't really know but he sounds like an ideal replacement for Sanchez.  He plays the 4 and is a good rebounder.  We wouldn't need him to be a primary scorer but he'd be a strong presence on the interior.

Don't know his game. Wouldn't know him if I fell over him but his type is exactly what we need. And hopefully he is 6'9 not 6'6 1/2.  :)

Just based on the rebounding Stat, he appears intriguing.  I would like to see how he rebounded in games against the better teams in the A-10, or did he puff his average by getting huge numbers against the weak sisters of the league.

Sounds a lot better than Sanchez to be honest.  This kid has won an NCAA tournament game and actually rebounds.

Kid is good. Didn't have as good of a rear this year as he did last mainly do to the fact the talen around him left. Good role player. Someone we need who won't need to be coached up. Hopefully lavin can do the only thing he can do well and recruit him but seems unlikely with the other names after him

Why would anybody consider coming here for their last year of college ball after this season's debacle when they have all those other bigtime schools after them?

He's probably transferring from Temple because he's tired of getting his brains beat in.

I guess that means he's not coming here.

Pretty good stats but why the hell has a seven footer not shot 50% once in his career and why is he taking 50+ 3's while making less then 30%
*wipes ketchup from his eyes* - I guess Heinz sight isn’t 20/20.
