We didn't hire Lavin to sign 3* prospects when there are 6 open scholarships.

Keep in mind there is not much choice at this point since 5 star recruits just are not available so it does not really matter who Lavin signs, by your definition they will suck.

If you thought people here were just "finding excuses to whine" then you clearly havent followed the garbage basketball that has been played for the past two season and a coach who clearly doesnt have a deep knowledge of the game.

Lavins signing of these nobodys may very well buy him extra time with this nice person AD and asleep at the wheel admin. But dont hold your breath for success as long as this pretender is on the sidelines

Because we know he wasn't coaching, and apparently he wasn't recruiting either.

Must be nice to have 12 months off a year.   

It looks like Lavin is scrambling for whoever  is left. I am not saying he wont put together a good class. Like others have said, we had 3 scholis plus the possibility of defections. What wasn't Lavin more proactive earlier.

I'm sure some people are going to make jokes, but personally, I'm glad Greene is coming back.    We'll need all the scorers we can find.   
For all of his faults, phil can shoot a little and has a nice midrange game, the staff needs to put him in positions where he can succeed.

So you have been saying for over a month now.

Looks like the backcourt will stay the same, which I like.

Good news. I'm not his biggest fan, but he can definitely play 15 minutes and knock down a few threes, which this team will need.

He hit 40% from three.  Look up our last 40% guy from past teams.  It was a while ago.

If for no other reason then his 3pt shooting I'm glad Phil is back. When teams play zone on us next year Phil will be very valuable. If Phil sticks to his open 3s and mid range jumpers he can be a very effective player. Im hoping Phil, Dlo, Rysheed, and Jamal are all shooting a ton of 3s this offseason.

He had a nice pull up jumper his first two years that disappeared last season.  It would be nice to see that come back.  He also had that game winning put back for a nice MSG win two years back.  He protects the ball well with very few turnovers.  The know it all critics on the boards pick kids apart when they make mistakes. 

It is nice news to see that he's not leaving this team.  We need him.

From the outside looking in him transferring never made sense. Good to have him back . He will be needed in Lavin's new Villanova like 4 guard offense.

Anyone know if Mason might be coming here?
