Word Good Luck
Attack basketball, pressure defense, 40 minutes of hell ... Early on it might be 30 minutes of hell, then 10 minutes of what the hell are you doing?"

Actually, the expression was "built like a brick wall" junior.. :D .. but next time i see him on campus i'll be sure to send him ur regards. Something tells me he's just not pro-material.. lol... Could see him end up working with Bernard Rencher in the academic support dept. in the future.

 Great/Smart kid.... Horrendous senior year.

apparently, only three big east players will be drafted into the nba this year.  being all big east isn't enough, and lawrence wasn't close.

he'll make more money than 99 percent of the senior class playing somewhere...so don't feel sorry for him.

I don't know why Ewing isn't getting more attention he is a great athlete and has a very good basketball iq. I thought he was underutilized at georgetown

Which pro league would hire a 34% shooter?

hes better than a 34% shooter, and i think hes more talented than he played...he seems like he just played dumb...took bad shots, made passes he shouldnt have attempted...a better understanding of the game would help this kid out alot and make him into a good enough pro player overseas to warrant decent money...if i were him i would get on that stupid play thing, since hes a pg, it might help

yeah.  i can see him being a very decent role player/"glue" guy off the bench for a team.  he should easily go mid 2nd.

Basketball isn't exactly filled with Mensa members. Therefore, pleading "dumb" wouldn't make him unique or allay concerns about his ability to play basketball at a professional level.

He is a terrible shooter, makes egregious decisions on the court, can't defend against quick point guards, and has done nothing but lose consistently on the college level. Let him sell headbands to support his child.

Geno wasnt the best point guard i have ever seen thats for damn sure.  But that being said it wouldn't suprise me in the least to see him have a decent career over in europe.

There are certainly low-level leagues that would take an American who can play tough.  Lawrence isn't a bad passer but he didn't know when to be aggressive; he's not quick but he is strong as hell; and he has consistently been a solid steals guy and draws fouls.  As a Big East starter? A poor fit.  As a pure shooter, a classic point guard?  He's not good.  But if Grady Reynolds can be a dunking superstar in Poland, Lawrence can catch some time on some team's bench.

Thing is, he's got a weird skill set, so that some people think he's the crappiest and others see how he has value.  I think he shouldn't be a primary ball handler, for sure.  Who knows, maybe if he's not shooting off the dribble his percentages would be better.

I do hope that Boothe learned a little from Lawrence - the fact that a slow guy who can't shoot, isn't tall, and isn't a great finisher averaged 3.5 free throw attempts per game his senior year means he's at least a crafty player.

hey, dexter gray just signed to play in chile.  there are places where good money is payed for players good enough to suit up in the big east.

i think lawrence was more the victim of bad coaching.
