I really believe in the end people get what they deserve. So based on this belief, book your tickets to the NCAA tourney. Deangelo Harrison has had the worst luck of any SJU player since I have watched the team. If Harkless plays one more season Harrison is in the tourney as a Soph. If his coach wasn't a drama queen and he doesn't get suspended, he might have made it w/o Harkless anyway. Through suspensions, ineligibilities, bad coaching, terrible fans, terrible announcers and just bad luck, all Harrison does is play hard. I guess people figured a 6-3 shooting guard could carry a team, but instead of giving him shit, people should have felt bad that he didn't have anyone else as good as him to help. Well I am betting all the crap he went through finally pays off and just like Andy Dufresne, Harrison crawls through 500 yards of shit to make the tourney.

Karma is also ESPN having to broadcast all these hot Big East teams on their airwaves next few nights. A league they despise.   Lol.

Harrison seems to be on a mission. It's great to see some heart out there. Go get it kid

He benefitted greatly from Drama Queen's suspension.

That suspension was a blessing, he seems totally different now.

Kid wants in, well keep it up. Actually, push yourself even more. Never be satisfied with your #s.
Push yourself even more.   If you beat Zaga, don't smile.   Just walk to center court with the ball., slam on on the center court logo and just yell with rage, then just walk off.
Hell I wouldn't even celebrate after winning in Syracuse.

If their mission is to get to the ncaa, then if their serious about that the only time they should celebrate is if they win the B.E. tourny, since that would mean that they're in.
Yeah, I know that beating these teams would be huge, but that isn't the mission at hand.
So my suggestion would be to stay business like, since it isn't complete until we make sure that we're in.

STAY FOCUSED, NO DISTRACTIONS.

couldn't disagree more on your "drama queen" comment. I think Lavin did what he had to do and admire him for it. Most coaches and leader are afraid to do it and suffer the consequences. When the person, buys into their responsibility, you have an A player.

Lavin suspended Harrison exactly so that the rubes would admire him for it. And rather than suffering consequences, it gave him a built in excuse for failing. The only person who suffered consequences is Harrison: as late as yesterday on the ESPN pre game he was described by Dino Gaudio as having "off the court issues." There is zero evidence - zero - that the suspension did anything that normal maturation would not have. And in fact Harrison stills rolls his eyes at the coaches - he rolled his eyes at Whitesell walking out of a time out two games ago - and is still as demonstrative on the court as he ever was.

There is zero evidence on many things but that does not mean it doesn't happen. That is unless you also believe OJ didn't do it.

Theres also zero evidence that Harrison has any off the court issues.   But hey, he's an ABM, so I'm not surprised to hear that was said.
A good coach finds ways to connect with a player before something boils over, and becomes public eye.  He avoids embarassing the player.
Lavin it seems turns to public suspensions first, to draw credit for himself.

Didn't you guys get it out your system two years ago?  This team has big night coming up and you are going back to this?

Besides, Foad is full of BS on this one.  D'LO never makes friends with Mike Rice if this had never happened.  You can't put a price on that.

If that's true why would Harrison come back? He could have went any where. Also why would a coach sabotage his season by suspending his best player ?  Why would pointer or any of the other guys stand for the suspension if it wasn't warrented? Why would the AD let him suspend his best player? U guys are crazy !
I sit behind the bench often. Players seem to like Lavin. The guys 4 years ago liked Lavin.

Lavin has suspended several players for undisclosed reasons. We don't know what Harrison did to get suspended for the rest of his soph season. As fans, we don't want him suspended. We are not here to support Lavin's disciplinary style. Lavin wanted to show Harrison whose program this belonged to. We went something like 1-9, and it became completely obvious that this was Harrison's program.

Now, it should be obvious to all of us, that Lavin should cut the disciplinarian crap. It doesn't teach the players a damn thing, and it makes his fan base angry. Maybe Harrison needed to grow up. Lavin need to learn from his mistakes and focus on coaching. That's his job now. Hopefully, he'll do his job and stay the hell out of the players' way.

There is zero evidence on many things but that does not mean it doesn't happen. That is unless you also believe OJ didn't do it.

That's quite a very stupid analogy on several levels. In the first place there was a mountain of evidence pointing to OJ's guilt and in the second whether there wasn't or was or whether or not OJ did or did not in fact cut his wife's head off is a complete and pointless nonsequitur relative to Harrison's suspension.

Other than that you make some good points.

Obekpa refused to go into a game, Pointer has done more stupid shit on the court than Harrison by 10X and Harrison is the one who got suspended?

I guess all of you who think Lavin is Father Flannigan also believe he was really teaching Dom how to play D during that timeout a couple years ago.

Some of you will never appreciate Harrison because of the tattoos and frohawk.
