Well let's look at the coach's poll
#25 Illinois lost to Miami - they will drop out
#24 Florida lost to Kansas - they will drop out
#23 Yukon lost to Yale - out
#22 Maryland lost to UVA - likely out
#21 Arkansas got crushed by Iowa State - likely out
#18 Michigan State lost to ND - likely out
#17 West Va lost to LSU - likely out
#16 Michigan lost to NJIT - out
Thats 8 teams near the bottom of the top 25 that lost and will most likely drop out. Have to think we have a very good chance of being one of the 8 teams that slip in there since a bunch of the teams on the top 25 bubble lost this week too.
Other teams we would have to leap:
26: VCU- Lost to UVA,will drop
27: Providence- Lost to BC, will drop
28:Utah: Beat Wichita St- Will be ranked
29:Butler: Went 2-0, will probably be ranked, if not, still be ahead of us
30: Northern Iowa:Needed OT to beat George Mason, but will probably still be ahead of us
31: Oklahoma State: Got killed by South Carolina, wont get votes
32: Washington: Plays SDSU at home tomorrow, a win puts them into the top 25
33: Syracuse: 2 losses, wont receive votes
34: Creighton: Lost to Tulsa, wont receive votes unless they beat Nebraska tomorrow
35: Nebraska: Beat FSU, plays Creighton tomorrow, a win and they'll be ranked.
36: Georgetown: Plays Towson tomorrow, even with a win we probably jump ahead of them
37: NC State: Lost to Purdue, beat Wake,we jump over them
38: Cal: Needed 2 OT's to beat Montana, plays Nevadda tomorrow, we probably jump them
39: Stanford: Lost to DePaul last week, not sure how they even got votes, we jump them.
40: Wyoming: Lost to SMU, will drop below us
41: UTEP: Lost twice this week, will not receive votes
42: Notre Dame: Beat Michigan State, will be ranked most likely, and will be ahead of us.
43: Baylor: Beat Vandy, could be ahead of us but we probably jump them with our win.
As you can see, most teams ahead of us lost. We have a fighters chance at making the Top 25.
