HATE to go against Phil here, but without Harrison's leadership from the tip-off, we wouldn't have been in a position for Greene's heroics.

He played GREAT defense yesterday too.

This felt like a baseball game where Harrison was the starting pitcher, CO and Dom were the key utility player that did all the grit work and Phil was the closer who saved this game. I picked Greene because one that 3pointer to tie the game got SJU back...Without that three I think the team would have slowly faded away.

Phil.  I haven't seen a player take over a game like that since Reggie Miller scored 13 pts in 11 seconds against the Knicks.

Chris O. With him staying out of foul trouble and playing windex, no way we could have kept up with Christmas and McCullough. Showed a real maturity, and growth today by keeping himself on the court.

Not to take anything away from the other guys. Jordan has to improve his control as the season goes on. He has had fewer turnovers, but he does have lapses.

He also needs to control his emotions better. You can see him get frustrated. Fair or not I think refs will pick up on that and be will be scrutinized more closely.

Let the record show that in our two marquis games of the year - that's 2 out of 7 total thus far- that Parallelogram was our P of G!

I too was thinking of Reggie Miller.  Up until the last 4 minutes Phil had been reminding me of John Starks.  In the end he was all Miller.

Phil was easily player of the game to me, but totally agree on the obekpa point. That was the most under control I have seen him play, which is amazing given the enormity and emotion of this game. He let guys get basket when he would normally foul and get the and 1 and he stayed on his feet and rebounded when a block would have been futile and put him in a bad position to rebound. Plus he knocked down his free throws at a reasonable clip and didn't get frustrated on the offensive end when there wasn't much there. He is developing into such a good player, I hope he sticks around for a while because it's fun to watch him learn.

Have people said that whitesell is good at developing big men? If so, I have to give him some props for obekpa's growth as well

Phil got my vote for obvious reasons.
But I'm going to give major props to Dom.  The last 2-3 minutes Cuse completely backed off him.  We'd feed him the ball at the foul line and Cuse dared him to drive or shoot.  Dom showed an incredible amount of patience and composure.  Last year or even earlier this year, he would've taken the jumper.
Awesome overall effort.

Should have had Stewart as a choice as in his 3 minutes of PT he reminded me of a young Reggie Theus.  ;) :) I picked CO because while Dlo and Phil were great (Phil obviously clutch late) if it weren't for CO's 16 boards and 4 blocks (seemed like he had more) and battling their bigs Christmas and McCollough would have buried us inside and Phil's late game heroics who have been too little too late. Razor thin call on the top 3 though.

Really can't go wrong with either Phil or Dlo. Phil was unbelievable down the stretch and something that I will always remember. But how bout Dlo. 24 pts and held Cooney to 2 pts!! Man does he own him. Plus 22 in that battle is huge.
*wipes ketchup from his eyes* - I guess Heinz sight isn’t 20/20.

You know, Greene did miss a jumper with 3:40 to go in the game. Just saying.

gotta go with DOM.  Great line, he was there the entire game with solid high post play without which SJU has no chance against the 2-3.  Dlo, Greene both got hot for awhile, Greene in the clutch was great, both deserve kudos.  But without the ball movement in which Dom's play was crucial, there is no game to win at the end.  Great team effort.  CO can not be overlooked with his 16 boards aginst a couple of tough oppaonents.
