Hardy is only averaging 8.25 ppg since their conference season started.  Only 1 game of 4 in double figures and threes are down too.  Must be facing real defense now.  To follow him:

Yea I just checked that the other day. He only had one solid game the others were pretty lackluster. Either way he is going to be a nice scorer/shooter off the bench for us next year.

It sounds like he'll drop 30 on Howard, and 3 on Syracuse.

Anyone that has seen him play recently...Can this kid play point guard?
When you're a kid from New York and you do it in New York, that lasts forever!

Hardy's season comes to an end.  They didn't make it to the national JC tourney this year.

Absolutely not.

Hardy was named 3rd team NJCAA All American.

Now all we need are plays to free him for a shot.

Honestly I'd love to see Hardy come into the game play 9 minutes and score 6ppg. Shoot 2-4 from 3. Instant offense.

The 6-2, 190-pound Hardy graduated from John F. Kennedy High School in the Bronx in 2006 after averaging an impressive 39.0 ppg with 5.0 rebounds and 3.0 assists as a senior under coach Johnny Mathis. He prepped for a year at the Patterson School in 2006-07, playing for coach Chris Chaney before enrolling at Indian Hills. Over the last two seasons, Hardy led Indian Hills to an incredible 58-13 record, starting 70 career games and scoring 1,163 points in two years. A NJCAA All-Region 11 first team selection in each of the last two seasons, Hardy finished his IHCC career as the school's single-season and career leader in 3-point field goals and 3-point attempts. He made a record 102 3's as a freshman and his two-season total was 173. Hardy was also an all-tournament selection in 2008 after scoring at a 30.3 ppg clip in four games during the NJCAA national tournament.

Hardy has got to be a great scorer for us to even sniff the NIT.

I just don't see Dwight getting that much playing time.  Norm has shown time and time again he wants guys that can play defense not just shoot.  Hopefully, Dwight surprises us all and is much better at defense that Larry or Avery were.

if he can shoot like advertised he is going to play...

why give a scholarship to a JUCO player with no intention of using him..?

I'm hoping he plays plenty.
We scored 10 points in a big east half in March.

No one should be guaranteed a starting spot.
Personally, I think Kennedy would make a great 6th man.

I like Horne a lot, but we will see who the best 2 guard is.
It may not be him. Hardy seems like type who scores in bunches, but not soft like Patterson. He is from the Bronx.

Why does Norm do any of the things he does?  Why did he hide Larry and Avery on the bench when the rest of the team couldn't put the ball in the ocean?  Why after Larry goes 2-3 for long distance does he get sent to the doghouse for the rest of the game?  I want Dwight to come in here and be a great shooter all im saying is that shooters haven't really been accepted by Norm in the past.

Why give a schollie to all the guys who have ended up picking splinters out of their backsides?  Who knows?

One other thing: I don't know how good Hardy is at getting his own shot, how active he is coming around screens.  That's gonna be a factor in his effectiveness.  Hopefully his playing time and offensive effectiveness are linked, but as with Larry Wright, well... we'll see.

In regards to Norm not playing Avery and Larry, I really think this an example of the emperor's clothes.

I don't blame Norm for losing faith in them.

As far Avery goes, he started either every game or pretty close to it, but he could not compete against good teams. They scored on him at will and denied him the only shot he can make: the wide open 3.

Larry was starting, and his dribble drives were effective against St.Francis and like schools but when we went down to Florida he couldn't buy one and it appeared that once Mason returned that DJ Kennedy was a better player than Larry and Norm was right about that.

C'mon now...
Larry was the 3rd leadin scorer on a team that could hardly score.
The brother was missed and he gonna be puttin numbers up at Oakland.
Parking only for NYCHA permit holders.

I thought Larry got a raw real. I thought coach focused on his weaknesses while never making an effort to accent his strengths. Good coaches put their players in positions to succeed.

I think maybe Roberts could have set more screens for him but it's not like he wasn't given a chance. He was a starter, and while I'm sure he'll put up numbers at Oakland, what does that say about his value?

That's the best he could do?

Paris Horne doesn't have Wright's range but he's gotta move to the basket and although we didn't win much he was able to compete with just about everyone.
