i honestly don't care about NYC kids anymore. this isn't the 80s when kids wanted to stay local.  NYC kids want to get far away from their surroundings. they know what nyc is all about and most have already played in msg.  out of state kids on the other hand, want the bright lights, msg, big media, etc. for them nyc is all shiny and new. let's not put all our eggs in one basket.

Maryland's on him.  When I read that Ponds said he wants to go out and see what's there, I thought the 4 hour trip effect might be good - away from home, not too far... same as RJ -

In terms of his college decision, his coach is not sure yet what Ponds is thinking. However, he believes that Ponds' family will play a huge role in his decision.

"He is the type of guy who likes to explore, but he also likes to be close to home. He has a tight knit family and they come to all the games. But he is also a guy who likes to spread his wings as well. He likes to travel and visit different places," Lawrence Pollard said.

We should keep a good relationship with Ponds for when he transfers back to NY  from West Virginia in a few years.

Agree, but ponds may be more of a PG, while Temple is similar to Mustapha and Rawle. BTW i'd take any combination of those 4 players and be thrilled.

Ponds needs to play the point next year.  McKennon did a great job for Jefferson at point this past year after being labeled a score-first combo from his St. Ray's days.  His team loses a lot of talent.  He's a prime candidate to head up to the NEPSAC for his final year to a team that will let him run the show.  I just see so many of the things that Hatten did well in this kid. I want to see him up against better players.  Almost looks too easy for him.
