It's disappointing, but SH is 11-2 with the #26 RPI and look very much like a legit tournament team. It's not the type of team you walk and beat often on the road. Rysheed Jordan had two of his turnovers lead to made three pointers (Gibbs to end first half, Sina at 12:30 mark of 2nd half). It was 44-53 when Jordan committed his stupid technical foul. We lost possession as a result, Gibbs hit both FTs, and then Sina hit a three pointer to make it 58-44. So instead of making it a six or seven point game, Jordan's decision to fling the ball resulted in a nearly insurmountable 14 point deficit that changed the entire game.
#26 RPI with Whitehead definitely a game they should be winning
As I posted before the game, I think Whitehead being out worked to their advantage for this one. He is awesome, but he's a freshman in what would have been his first ever Big East game and would have made mistakes. His absence resulted in more shots for Gibbs and Sina and they killed us: 39 points, 12-22 from the floor, 9-15 from three! and 11 assists to just two turnovers.
So, according to Marillac...
Seton Hall is better off without their second leading scorer, the Mcdonalds All-American Isiah Whitehad.
Meanwhile, undersized St Johns should be grateful that they don't have NBA power forward Jakarr Sampson anymore or his d-league brethren Orlando Sanchez.
Remind me again who the troll is around here? Baldi?
