It's for the seasòn.
Nice call as usual
It was the case at the time. but Lavin has no clue what's happening day in and day out. It's embarrassing

Heck, I could be wrong but I think Lavin knows more than an Iona fan.

Larry Brown and Cal hired guys off the street so that they could recruit their kids. Tark had an asst adopt a kid who was a drug addict and illiterate. Wooden's players were paid. A little ass kissing to get through a season is not a big deal to me. I don't fault Lavin here. Coach's have sold their soul much worse than this for kids that they were not already a year and a half invested in.

I hope if he's back that he's focused and ready to kick ass.  A lot of us are forgetting that he's been abysmal lately and extremely selfish.  Hopefully Jordan takes the next 2 months to work his balls off to achieve his dream while helping the seniors reach theirs.  We don't need him back and turning it over 6 times while shooting dumb jumpers.  Assuming the conversation with him and Lavin included showing up to practice I can only imagine his play will improve.

Kid deserves to have his scholarship pulled and thrown out of school.  Cant be going to class or practicing much considering all the drama, Philly etc.  However, this is a D1 program, we do now only have a 5 man team and we desperately need this kid, even if he hasn't practiced.  So, his teachers will be talked to, Lavin will empathize and the kid will be back but will probably be gone again in a game or two.  Pathetic, where will the line be drawn.

I am truly glad it looks like the crisis has been averted, but I would not be shocked if this becomes a game to game thing. Would not be surprised at random ailments and other things popping up from time to time like the Carnesccca Arena Flu. Hope it is not the case, but at least it makes things um... exciting. What other team can say that they don't know the status of their 2nd best player from game to game? Maybe Vegas should put a line on it every game.

I'm usually one in total favor of putting Baldi on blast at any given time... But lets be honest,  he's been on this Jordan thing for a year , and for the most part, been correct.

He's probably batting about .500 on his predictions on the eventual outcomes of transgressions, but who could possibly predict the way the school and Lavin have reacted to it all.

I would have bet the farm he was gone for the year also..

Just trying to be fair..

I will say,  he does unfairly criticize the school more than he would Iona... but , with Marco, it's baby steps.

I am thrilled Marco posts his insider info, right or wrong, could care less how often he's right, everyone should have their own assessment on whether they think Baldi's sources are credible or not, etc.  Personally I am positive Baldi is always reporting something someone told him, not like he's making it up.
That said I am always going to call him out for being a contrarian who doesnt appear to enjoy st. john's winning, and has a very different approach when similar issues come up for st johns vs. iona.  For example, he kills Lavin on recruiting, but touted Norm even when there was no hope for success.  Doesnt seem consistent for someone who hopes st johns wins.  That's fine, but he deserves to be called out for it early and often.  That's all.

All true.. But the fact that Marco gets off on STJ and their fans misery shouldn't come to anyone's surprise at this stage of the game..  It's who/what he is..  That's why he gets crushed when he's wrong.

It was annoying week, but I think it is going to work out. Lavin won the game of chicken. Hoping Jordan is on best behavior. Season is back on. Looking foward to Nova. Jordan is not the 1st athlete to get special treatment.
