Lavin needs to go to many transfers and ineligible recruits have hurt this team over the years. Team needs to go in a new direction with a big name coach that can recruit...tired of seeing kids from NY choosing other schools over SJU.This is New York's big team time to get this team in the tournament on a yearly basis. No excuses.

NJ guy, asst at Wagner, etc. The window for him will be this year or next year. I am sick of this instability and I was never anti-Lavin.

Based upon SJU history, this is the probable outcome of regime change: Monasch resigns, Lavin moves to AD, and Whitesell becomes HC

Sorry, I was just responding in general. Not directly to "Big Name" coach. He is a respected name, great basketball mind, and will be a "Big Name" coach. All "Big Name" coaches had to pay their dues, and this is the window to get him.

How much would it take to pry Gregg Marshall to our little crap hole?
I say we sell out tired of the crap, give Jim Calhoun a 4 year deal and hire Steve Pikell as his asst/coach-in waiting.
