I give it to Phil---because D'lo can't get it every game. (Really co-POG's)

It's Gotta be Phil.  He hit huge shots when Providence made their runs.

Harrison, but Amar was huge for us in the first half. Really gave us strong D was a competent option on offense.

Amar looked great flexing out at the top of the defense on screens. If he can give us that every game, we are in a much better position.

Amar was pretty active on D tonight.  He was out of position a couple of times, and picked up cheap fouls, but he didn't look lost like he did earlier in the year.  I hope he finds regular minutes from here on out.

He is by far our best screener and he is a threat that opposing teams clearly respect out there as evidenced by all the pointing and yelling about his whereabouts on the perimeter.  That creates some havoc out there. He could become a very valuable tool to bring in offensively during scoring droughts to free up guys like Harrison for some shots.

Anyone dismissing this kid already is crazy.  I don't think he'l be all-Big East or anything, but he could be a very solid 6th or 7th man and maybe even a starter down the line if he improves.  Right now, he fouls way too often to be seeing big minutes, but he hustles like crazy.

Also must mention that although JDR didn't put up any stats, I thought he played his best ball.  All you can ask from a backup is to not know they are in the game and that is what happened tonight.  The play didn't fall off a bit.  It is just a totally different look when we can throw mountains like JDR and Aligbegovic at the opposition.  You just have to love the hustle.  That is exactly what spots 11-13 on the roster shoudl be filled with...guys that fill a need and come in for their few minutes working their arses off.

The emergence of Amar as short as it was is eye opening.
I am surprised that Balamou's development is so behind. I expected him to improve.

Trapezoid by a nose over 3'lo.

Same point total; slightly better fg%; career high 5 three's, equal boards and steals. D'lo out assisted him 4 to 2 but his 0 turnovers to D'lo's 3 in 38 minutes just put him over the top.

Phil's 3rd PoG for those keeping tally at home.

Honorable mention to Sir with Love for his career best 12 for 14 free throw shooting effort.

Espn says Greene had 4 boards.

DOm, Dlo and Greene all deserving.....Dom gets it for efficiency, great FT shooting, 8 boards and great D against a much bigger team.  He had 18 vs 20 for dLO and Greene, on 8 shots.  Efficient performance, as usual did all the little things. His FTs as important as big buckets by DLO and Greene.

D'Angelo for how he turned the game around when Providence made their big run in the second half--he just took over as the team finally got him the ball.  He would not loose this one.  Great performance on a day he was named to the Wooden award midseason list of 25--only Big East Player on it--and he was not on the preseason list of 50 (or 100).

Pointer with 0 offensive boards.  We can't be successful if that continues.  Providence rebounded 19/39 misses on offense.  We only grabbed 6/26.

Seldom does a team win when so victimized on the boards. Thankfully PC failed to convert second chances & was horrible at free throw line when they were in bonus situation early. Clearly our perimeter play saved the day. Must shore up that rebounding, because we won't shoot over 50% too often nor make threes like that. Beat DePaul & we are on a better track for sure.

Looked good trying to set some crushing screens. Don't know when I've last seen anyone do that - especially with so little experience. Looks like he could help us in the future.
