Pointer almost had a turnover there.  C'mon, finish this.

Can we play some defense?!? All we have to do is not give up 7 points in 1:18. Shouldn't be that hard.

Pointer's block may have sealed it.  Helluva block.

Good win, refs sucked and Pointer is defensive player of the year in BE

Did guy with Gottlieb win some kind of contest to do the game? Is he a real announcer?

LOL

I believe he's done a St. John's game on that channel before.

We need to recognize what a force Dom has become. A joy to watch him blossom.

And Harrison is Back in form! Your pick? Harrison or Kenny McIntyre? Or Joe DePre? Or Hatten? We are privileged to have him lead this team

I hope Harrison is okay.  Slightly, limping after slipping on the floor.

He reaggravated his shoulder too.  Fortunately, it was his left shoulder.  I assume that is the one that has been previously injured.  It certainly didn't affect his shooting tonight.

Poor Felix. He couldn't finish a damn thing tonight.

Man never seen worse refereeing. Wasn't even a Jim Burr game. Proud of them, keep it up and win the big road game this weekend!

Agree, I never would have said that prior to this year.
*wipes ketchup from his eyes* - I guess Heinz sight isn’t 20/20.

Great to string together a couple of conference wins and gain a little confidence going into an important xavier game. For NCAA tourney purposes a win @xavier or @gtown is huge. It's great to see Harrison back in form. He was doing anything he wanted on offense. Jordan was decent, takes over too many possessions though, I like the ball in his hands with the shot clock set to expire, but he should move the ball early in the clock. Felix did an admirable job, just is not a scorer. Dom is just consistently great this year. Another positive to this game is that it seems to have kept the trolls away which makes this a lot more readable.

Congratulations to Phil Greene the fourth!  He netted eighteen points to pass Mike Parenti, to move into 39th* on the St. John's University all time scoring list.  I've never heard of Mr. Parenti, but he did average 22.1 points per game in the 1955/56 season ( quite a feat indeed in the pre shot clock era ), and rumor has it that he and Lou did enjoy scungilli together in little Italy on numerous occasions.

* I've learned through my exhaustive research into the SJU scoring annals that earlier editions of the all-time scoring list had Anthony "Glove" Glover right around here.  The current edition does not.  Does anybody know why?

More entertaining than normal, which is a compliment.  I hope your brain can be frozen to one day be unfrozen to unleash the ferocious prose upon those future generations who will admire your work while wondering, "what the heck do half those words mean?"  I think your brain will come back as "God's Gift."

"I did not see enough of the game to notice Lavin cock anything up spectacularly, although he did call an eccentric timeout after a 4 point mini run broke the late tie and with a TV TO looming." >>> Did you mean this as "stop cock" meaning, or "cook anything up"? Or some other Foad machination I would whiff on with my best baseball swing?

Robert Burns

When first my brave Johnie lad came to this town,
He had a blue bonnet that wanted the crown;
But now he has gotten a hat and a feather,
Hey, brave Johnie lad, cock up your beaver!

Cock up your beaver, and cock it fu' sprush,
We'll over the border, and gie them a brush;
There's somebody there we'll teach better behaviour,
Hey, brave Johnie lad, cock up your beaver!
