Watching the Nova/Xavier game. They just showed bracket as of now. We would get Providence on Thursday at 2:30pm.

We need to sweep and georgtown would have to lose one to tie for 3rd. They play seton hall and Butler. Don't know what tie breaker is.Almost certain playing in 4/5 game at 2:30. Sucks parent teacher conference.

So we most likely get providence in our big east tournament game?   I thought it was a near lock that we'd get Georgetown?

Still up in the air. Providence would be #2 seed if they win out.

Are we rooting for Georgetown or Butler?

It really doesn't matter at the end of the day.  But I'm rooting for Butler because I don't like the Hoyas.

Rooting for Georgetown since we beat them, makes our "Good wins" look a little bit better.

However it shakes out, I want to avoid Georgetown in the first game.
would match rather see the friars

Agree.

Crafty play there at the end by Smith-Rivera.  It was almost like he was anticipating Josh Smith to miss the FT, and had a bead on the ball

Did you see the game the other day where the kid had to miss intentionally and didnt?
was it the Gonzaga game?  I forget what game I was watching.

Gonzaga hit the FT when he was intentionally trying to miss it, right?  Against BYU?  I do remember something similar happening.

I would like the Friars, because i want payback for last year, but I think Georgetown has a lot of trouble shooting. Only Smith-Rivera can consistently hit a 3, and even a lot of his points came in garbage time. I like how we're defending.

But Dunn is a terrific point guard, and if he's on, Providence can be very, very good. That, and I think it's really hard to beat a BE team 3 times in one season.

This here is why I'd prefer G'town over Providence, if I had to choose one.

I'll say that we pretty much handled Providence in both games.  They weren't "down to the wire" games.  Our team can also give Dunn a few problems, as we're long, athletic, and match up well with him.

Up to the minute the standing are:
1) Nova (14-2)
2) Georgetown (11-6)
3) Butler (11-6)
4) Providence (10-6)
5) St. Johns (9-7)

If Providence beats SH tomorrow there will be a 3 way tie for 2nd.

This weekend Butler plays Providence while Georgetown plays SH.

So if the favorites win out and there are no upsets, we will play the loser of the Butler / Providence game.
