3-1 or 2-2 with 1 bet win

As, I, and a few others mentioned this week....  Due to our strong RPI and SOS, then 10-8 in the Big East will put us in the dance prior to the conference tournament.  9-9, and a Big East tournament win, will get us in.

So, we're in agreement.

Xavier and G'town games are gonna be big.

Going 3-1 is going to be tough. 2-2 will get us a good win and a 500 record in BE. Think we would be in entering the tourney but not a lock.
*wipes ketchup from his eyes* - I guess Heinz sight isn’t 20/20.

2-2 gets us in.
When you're a kid from New York and you do it in New York, that lasts forever!

2-2 gets them in as long as one of the 2 losses isn't MQ.

They beat MQ and pull off the upset in Nova....that's enough. That Nova game will be difficult but that might punch their ticket if Nova doesn't stumble until that point.

Sat behind seton halls bench. Their team didn't look like it was fighting at all. Gibbs was into the game. He interacted fine with whitehead . The Coney Island fans seem to hate St. John's . Good win. Gotta do it again Monday night.

I've heard from some other people in the basketball community this week and all said Gibbs is a great kid.

Game went about how I expected it.  They hung around for a while, hit some shots early, Delgado was good on the boards.

I hate bringing Obekpa off the bench.  I realize why it was done this game, but I think his presence alone at the beginning would have helped a lot on D and with the rebounding.

Felt great for the seniors today.

He looks gimpy. Gave it his all and had him for down the stretch without foul trouble.

I actually don't mind Joey Delarosa for short stretched. He's really surprised me.

I must be missing something. I don't obekapa hurting. To me he seems like he is playing his best basketball. Maybe he is playing more grounded and not jumping for every shot .

Obekpa seemed gimpy but much better than last game. He actually jumped and blocked some shots.

I liked his fight on defensive boards in second half--he changed the interior game when we went to zone in the second half.  Great day for seniors--enjoyed this one after fours and was glad they got recognition at end.  Was worth being there despite slippery trip home.

All it means is no beer and an uncomfortable seat .

And less money spent, an easier commute and sitting closer to the action.

Congratulations to Phil Greene IV who netted 20 to pass Bronx native Billy Goodwin and Jack ( no relation to Vince ) McMahon to move into 35th place on the St. John's University all-time scoring list!

Mr. Goodwin was a key member of the beloved Mullin - Wennington team that won the BE tournament in the 1982/83 season.

Mr. McMahon led the Johnnies to the 1952 Ncaa tournament final in his senior season.  Bowing out to Kansas in the final.  He also served as a head basketball coach for eleven seasons in the Aba, Nba and Abl.

Greene played very well today. He was aggressive, and shot with confidence. We needed him to step up with Harrison's injury, and he did.

That was a fun day in Queens!

The old barn packed and buzzing on unofficial senior day.  Mullin in the flesh and Malik1 in the spirit.  My loved ones and I bonding over what I love most and what they tolerate.

A good reminder of why we do what we do.

Well put Carmine. "What they tolerate" - lol.

Try and get some crossed arm fans sitting in your vicinity to cheer a little more during games. It looked like they were sitting in the dentist chair.  The guys brought me out of my recliner more than a few times during their push to get some distance in the last 5 min. They could not shake the Hall all game.  The extra pass really did the trick along with the extra effort with loose balls.  I'm very happy with the effort.

Whitehead is all about "getting his."
he was more upset with his missed shot than giving Mobley props for his follow dunk.

His body language gives me the impression he is bored...probably thinks he already belongs in NBA...rude awakening coming

Thanks purist.

I don't complain about golf clapping fans anymore.  They could be empty seats.  At least they showed up.

One of the best games and most fun crowds in a while. It's a pain in the ass to make it out to Jamaica, but I wouldn't mind making the seton hall game at carnesecca an annual thing. The non-students actually joined in with a couple of the defense chants and a bunch of people in my section joined in booing and yelling at whitehead.  Hopefully some of this crowd makes it to msg on Monday.
