Thank-You Seniors
« on: March 21, 2015, 12:10:11 AM »
I got to say I really enjoyed watching D-Lo, Dom, Phil, and Jamal the past 4 years. They had their ups and downs but they are all-time greats in my book. I want to say thanks to them for coming to St. John's and giving it everything they had.

Hope you all have some fond memories to share in this thread.

Just posted in the NCAA thread but I'll move here:

Really going to be hard for me not to see D'lo/Pointer/Greene on the floor again for us. I've been a solid fan for about 15 years, but have really followed the team closely since 2008 or so. This is my first real 4-year class that I feel 'attached' to in a sense.

Watching their growth and maturity, and the relentless hustle and energy over the last 4 years has been special. I wish all 3 of them nothing but the best.

With the way the college game is going. You don't really see a senior laden team. We got attached to these kids and saw the grow with their ups and downs. This group saw a lot of highs and lows. I'm Glad they made it to the tournament and hope their futures are bright.

Plus a million.  Thank you guys.  Best of luck, as several of you will make a nice living play professional basketball.  Hope that either Dom or D-Lo can sneak onto a NBA roster or get some real burn in top Euro leagues.

This senior class was one of my favorites as a SJU fan since the mid 80's.  Thank you D'lo, Phil, Dom and Jamal.  All heart and class.

I will remember the guys intensity level, even the last few minutes of this game.  Always kept pushing, no matter the odds.  The can do attitude will carry on the rest of their lives if they will it to.

I leave the guys with a Big Lebowski quote: "If you will it, Dude, it is no dream."

Thank you for leaving it all on the floor tonight and every other night. Took a chance coming here. Hopefully you enjoyed your time here as much as I did watching you guys grow. Wish you all the best for the future.

And Chris, well what else can be said. You let your team, fans and school down. You didn't give the seniors a fair chance at something they worked so hard for.  Even though I know you are not coming back, you will never be welcomed back in my book.

It's always hard to say goodbye to seniors but seems especially hard for these guys.

Hope they all have long, heathly and amazing careers.

Thank you guys for so much. As frustrating as the last four years have been, you have all grown and matured in front of all of us. The effort was always there. I hope your experiences at St. John's, in both the program and in the classroom have provided you all an education that will help you succeed in life.

Thank you for choosing SJU, and representing us very well. It was also great watching you grow from kids into young men, and how you all changed. Remember D'Angelo coming here a very angry man, he couldn't even smile. Well, what a change this year for him.
Smiling and joking around alot, it was great to watch.

You guys will be missed and much you again.

Thank you seniors.  You made it fun to watch S.J. basketball for the first time in a long time.  Wish you success in the next chapter of your lives.

Watching D'lo and his offensive game, along with over coming his maturity issues was huge. Pointer was the biggest change in terms of when he got here to now. It was a joy to see him play like a champ in his senior year. Phil also had a major change in his offensive game, became a better shooter and a leader.

Goodbye Seniors.

Thank You.

These guys came in is kids and are leaving as man. Proud to be able to watch them for the last 4 years. They should get a hand every time they come to a game for the rest of their lives.
