I don't get why some people have the hurley brothers as the holy grail of coaching, a few years ago bobby was out of hoops completely now after being an asst for his brother for a few years and a year at buffalo he's automatically a no brainer. Let him go to a Dayton type program and win a few ncaa games then we can talk.
I really think coaching hires, much like other elements of society, are in hyper drive because of the 24/7 media. Patience is not a virtue. If something doesn't work perfectly, the pressure to win creates more desperation for money hungry schools. Competition for coaches is usually fierce, and schools feel like they need to jump quick at name candidates or lose them.
Much like our votes for US President, once the election is ocver, I will support whoever is in office. Coach Lavin has my support, and I will be following the entire way. I want to see the recruiting paradigm be altered a bit, but either way I want better due diligence.
