Baldi, do you think Hurley will be able to recruit effectively outside the NY Metro area?

That's his roster http://www.gorhody.com/sports/m-baskbl/2014-15/roster

Is Cox who would be coming with him.

Not the 1 I had in mind.  I think he poaches from local staff

How could we possibly be in good shape? We have no coach and no players.

I think Mullin would do a job simply because he is such a hard worker with great attention to detail and knowledge of the game.  It's still a little bit of a risk because he hasn't coached before and nobody knows how he would adapt to all of the nuances, including going out and recruiting which is the lifeblood of a program.   Plus if things go awry, mit becomes very difficult to fire your program's golden boy

I'd love Danny Hurley.  Those Hurley's were born into coaching and recruiting so they know every corner.  Danny Hurley would be a great choice imo.  I think Hurley is the best and safest choice for the job most likely.  I think that while Mullin could really be a home run, Hurley has the whole package and is ready to go.

I'm excited about the names I'm hearing.  A little worried about Mullin never coaching before .

We'll have several good options among local assistants.

why do i get a sense that besides repole money, its in the best interest of Fox and the BE to have a big splash at SJU. maybe there is money coming in we don't know about. and just maybe the school is thinking they can use the interest in the program and to finally upgrade the facilities. Maybe it goes hand in hand?

Bathrooms also don't smell like piss, like they used to. You can also buy really bad nachos at the top of the gym. What are you guys expecting? This is NY's team. Alumni hall was also the first arena making fans go through metal detectors. Definitely adds to the experience.

Texas A&M is spending $450mil on a new stadium for students not to sit all on the bleachers. A lot of college stadiums only have bleachers.

CA is like a Springsteen song, "You ain't a beauty, but hey you're alright, oh, that's allright with me".

Danny did.   I don't think it makes a difference though.

Bobby Hurley, just to clarify...this article also said he's still going to interview with DePaul.  Just based on what I've seen printed it seems like Danny Hurley is the guy St. John's is looking more closely at anyway.

With Rhode Island's Danny Hurley signing a new 6-year deal, it's safe to take him off board for St. John's, source told ESPN.
