SIGN me up.  Ha.  It's tough in 8th grade to tell because guys who have made a physical jump have a much bigger leg up than they will 2-3 years down the road.  That said, skills and everything seem great.  Let's keep an eye on him!

I love the kids of players who never made the NBA. These guys worked hard making a living in the CBA Europe etc and for the most part instilled the hard work on their kids, . I know Rowan Barrett loved it at St. Johns.

I'd take his whole damn team.  The talent up there is crazy right now. 
I'd have to think every former player's son is in play now.  He'd look really good with Maverick Rowan and Bol Bol in a couple of years.

I cant imagine the staff hasnt at least thought this out. This kid is too good. There are too many connections. And Chris, Slice & Matt are aiming for the truly elite and are looking everywhere.

Awkward set shot, low slow release.  must improve and get a jumper.  Needs a lot of work,  Handle looks good and has a lot of stuff around the hoop that looks effective, at least against kids

Got excited when you said we have the inside track and then I read the article and it never said that so I guess it was you editorializing. Have not read anywhere that we have an inside track but would love to sign him. Was a fan of his dad too when he played for us.

I go to most of the games at Alumni Hall, and MSG, and I've never once seen Rowan Barrett in attendance for a game. Not for any reason. IDK what the program does to engage former players. I do recall a couple of years seeing Marcus Hatten, one of our best players ever walking around Alumni Hall and going completely unnoticed by the basketball program. You never know what happened there, but where are the former Johnnies? Other BE programs stack the stands w their former players. What's wrong with St.John's? I could be wrong, but it really seems like St.John's will be there front and center, but only when they want something from you.

ST. JOHN'S conspicuous by it's absence in this article. What is lazy Matt doing? Seriously though, does anyone know if we are even recruiting him and if so where we stand?

You wonder if Rowan Barrett could have been better under Louie, Fran or anyone else. There wasn't any D1 level coaching, discipline or training under the Mahoney years. Fran introduced St Johns to weight training and guys being in shape. Maybe with more program discipline and a different coaching attitude, he could have developed into more of a Lavar Postell
