Tomorrow announcement would be best as Back page Tuesday will be dominated by opening day and NCAA final.  Tuesday is open day for Mets/Yanks so back page open for Wednesday

  His nickname is Slice, was reported to be a “close friend” to cal when Scott Padgett left here to become a full time assistant at Manhattan while Mr. Slice was head man there. Spent last season as assistant at Pitt. Prior to that he was an assistant coach for the Idaho Stampede of the NBDL. Has strong recruiting connections in the notheast and along east coast

I hope Slice comes to St. John's as much as the next person, but you can't honestly think that would make the back page of a New York newspaper, do you?
