From the Bahamas trip to the Final Four and everything that comes with Big Blue Nation, it would be like living in luxury for a year then returning to cheap motels, terrible travel and fighting to get average talent to talk to you. Not to mention – A HUGE PAY CUT !! No way the Johnnies can give him what he is making here.

You "heard" he is already recruiting for St. John's?  It sounds to good to be true.  Really sticking your neck out on this one.

In fairness to Baldi the guy who wrote following tweet said three SJU staff members were present. Whitesell is still employed, but it would be odd for him to be there, no? Terrence M?

Slice does have an apartment in Riverdale but it's interesting that he's not out recruiting for UK (or SJU).

Whitesell is signed for another year? If so why don't we keep him. ?

It is Terence per Zags.  Terence won't be one of the 3 main assistants when the staff is completed but he will have an administrative position, probably DOBO.  But you can apply for a waiver to have someone recruit who normally would not recruit assuming you don't have all 4 available coaches yet or perhaps someone like the HC or a main assistant is not available for whatever reason.

Happens all the time.  Jim Boeheim will go on vacation in July let's say with the family.  So to replace him during a live period he will "deputize" his DOBO to go out with his 3 main assistants as the 4th coach.  Perfectly legal just clear it with the NCAA.

That is why Terence being on the staff officially or not is really immaterial.  Because even if he was I don't believe he is going to be one of the 3 main assistants anyway.  So normally he would not be out recruiting.

Let me clarify with Terence.  IF he joins the staff full time it will be in an administrative role.  But there is no guarantee that is going to be the case at this point.  Helping out this weekend as a "deputized" assistant.

Would be a great addition, but I think he will pass
