If Ponds/Simon return, plus Dixon and Williams, I'm not sure how needed Tucker is. Sure, he could play anywhere between 15-25 minutes, but is his skill level really worth gambling with the culture Mullin's developing?

There's going to be 5th year grad transfers at the end of the year we don't know about, that 4 star kid Curry is interested in us because of Brooks, and I don't think we should quickly dismiss Trimble yet. He's only a freshman and is smart enough to play within himself already, not everyone will be an impact freshman.

Unless his attitude changes and he's willing to be a 3 + D guy like Danny Green, I don't think we should be interested.

Don't know that he's interested in us now: his twitter pic in a SJ uniform was posted in 2015 when he was living in our gym. Seemed like a Syracuse lean when Duke swooped in, but if he wants to come home then we'll make a spot for him. He's a good shooter and an offensive force who would fit very nicely next year in Ahmed's slot.

We don't need another guy who shoots first....second.....and third.   Not a good fit for us culture-wise etc.

Kid can shoot. College ball has become a 3 point shooters game.

Quote from Tucker's visit to Duke this spring...

It was good,” Tucker told Scout.com. “[Duke coach Mike Krzyzewski] basically said that he needs someone to come in and score the ball. They don’t have a true wing, a two or three. They have Grayson [Allen] and Gary [Trent] and then someone like me that can shoot the ball at 6-7 or 6-8 and give them some versatility. I could play the two, the three or the four.

“He said I could play a lot, as far as minutes go, but being a starter isn’t a guarantee at all,” Tucker added. “He said everyone has to come in and work for that."

Georgetown is expected to pursue Duke transfer Jordan Tucker, per sources.

@StJohnsBBall won't be involved, per sources.

Just what Georgetown needs another soft player.

Even bigger problem is he's not a team player.   I'm sure Coach K had little patience for him.  Of course, one of these days he might grow up --- probably when he plays us.

If people don't realize that JT is a problem child by now I don't know what to tell them.
