Will he be eligible next season? How about Joey? Does he have any eligibility left?

Dave posted in another thread that he believes Adonis is Juco bound. Would he not be eligible to play next year? If not at St John's, any other school?

Thanks for the reply. I was wondering, given his size and style of play, how he would fit into the NBA offense Coach was espousing. even if he was eligible.

How can he not be eligible? He is on the basketball team. How hard can a 2.0 be to get?

If  ADR never hits the floor for SJU that will be two bigs in the same recruiting class who had not, and none committed for next year. Coulda used Sanchez for 3 years. He would have been ahead of Joey and Amir.

English is not his first language. That can be tough for some people that come from other countries and their parents are not fluent in the language.

Who is Adonis?

With CO coming back, Tariq Owens just signing on, Amer still here, how many minutes are there for an out-of-shape 5? Mullin wants guys who work hard in practice. Doesn't look like Adonis was trying too hard to get into shape all year.

True, but my mom had a 3.9 GPA and she barely spoke English. As long as you show some effort out there a 2.0 GPA is easy. It's just these kids that don't qualify chose not to go to class or not study.

I thought Coach was telegraphing something when he stressed fitness during presser.

I think it goes without saying that St.John's has to make serious changes to their approval process. We don't know if the previous staff is at fault here, or if this particular situation was their fault, but what we do know is that it's a trend at St.John's, and to ignore it or blame outsiders shouldn't be acceptable ever again.

Ultimately, when something like this is a trend, you've earned the blame for every ounce of it.

My nephew is 2. If he was 6'11 I am certain he would be eligible. I don't care what language the classes were in. This is not UNLV but this is not Harvard either.

Very good point. It's laughable sometimes.

May be wise to see if Adonis is indeed moving on.

Did ADR ever belong here? Recruitment of players was so piss poor that guys were brought in for appearance sake. Deceptive, of no value to the program. Hopefully it helped the kids out.

I'm not sure you're implying he didn't belong here on ability or grades.  But I'm fairly confident in saying, ADR can actually play on this level.  He just needs to get into shape.

No doubte he has skills and people say a good BB IQ however he is not talented enough to play at that weight as Josh Smith did

Can't blame Lavin if this kid couldn't get into shape or get eligible. Not that hard.
