Committed to Pitt when Slice was there. Dad very close friends with Slice. Kentucky hasn't offered, but I assume we would. IF we get Slice........

Stud. His dad played for Southern Ct State & is indeed very close to Slice. Heron, btw, has worked out at SJU several times I believe. The same thought crossed my mind. Guess we better get Slice first. :)

From Evan Daniels

Rawle Alkins & Mustapba Heron on the same team is scary. Both of these dudes are tough & physical. Relentless attackers. Heron has made 3's.

@AdamFinkelstein: No word yet where Heron will consider but St. John's will be the buzz with Barry Rohrrsen, who first recruited Heron at Pitt, now on staff.

@GoodmanESPN: @AdamFinkelstein is there even a question on this one?

Stud!!!!

I think it'd be safe to classify St. John's as the new team to beat for Mustapha Heron. Slice Rohrssen has a strong connection to his father

@AdamZagoria: I'd expect to see Chris Mullin and Slice watching a lot of NY Rens games this summer.

@EvanDaniels: Mustapha Heron played very well last weekend at the Adidas Gauntlet. Showed off a much improved jump shot. Took next step as a player.

@AdamFinkelstein: Mustapha Heron & Rawle Alkins are AAU teammate with NY Rens. Expect St. John's to be front and center in Indy next weekend.

Is this guy better than Sampson or pretty close?  Does this mean Sampson ship likely has sailed?

Don't think it has anything to do with Sampson but a nice option in case we don't get Sampson.

Exactly, want the same players that Duke UK KU etc want or even Nova
Better to lose out to them some of the time but get our's now and then
