Nike Portland World Game

Cheick is setting some monster screens....pick and rolls with him are going to be crazy.  Mussini seems very suspect on defense.

Many times European's have to adjust, defensively, to the american game.

Mussini seems slow on defense....can get pushed around.....backed down on switches.

We can find a way or two to hide him on defense, as he improves.  We all want him for his offensive abilities.   ;)

He is also playing against the best guards in the country. Most teams don't have players like that. I just started watching. He is battling.

He's got 4 years to grow into his body. Sure he may not be a complete player year 1, but he can help our squad space the defense and get them organized year 1. His defense isn't bad (he moves his feet well), just needs to gain strength.

On balance I agree....we want him but.....and the but is a fairly big one......if Sheed is coming back, we'll certainly survive very well if we don't get him......

Now if we don't get Cheick I'll be really disappointed....he's a program changer.

I want him, whether Jordan comes back or not.  More depth and an excellent shooter to boot.  Then, you never know with Jordan, although he did show some growth during the latter part of the season.

As, far as Diallo....  I really want him, as well.  We could potentially have ourselves a good team by adding Diallo and Mussini.

Diallo is clearly not a one & done player IMO.

I was saying the exact thing, Paultz.

He needs work.  He's good in transition (as, he has an incredible motor) and cleaning up the junk.  But he needs two or three years of collegiate seasoning.

Mussini just put World up by 3 by hitting three swish foul shots.
