Rysheed Jordan going pro

Drafted number 5 in the 1st round by Delaware 87ers which is the 76ers D-League affiliate. I saw him about two weeks ago in the NY Vs Philly High school game. Just looked defeated and the whole Philly was asking him what is his next move or why are you not at school in New York.
 I hope he turns it a around it would still be a good look. To see St.John's at the buttom of the screen in an NBA game and even better for his Phyche.

just looks like he is never going to get it . its sad, people would die for that talent all going to waste

I never thought he was making the NBA. Hopefully for his sake he gets his head on straight and can make money playing ball somewhere.

He is burning a lot of bridges with his disappearing acts. He may get some play for pay opportunities, but hope he can work hard wherever he goes. He had need to go back to Philly from Queens at drop of a hat. Can't see him content in a foreign country. Kid needs guidance. Agree with your " best player" comment, but he just wanted no part of school.

Don't be so sure if that. Far more talented players have ended up on hard times. But yes, we would have several more wins with him this year, at least, because he would be one of the better players in the Big East and get our guys open shots.

True, and it was obviously foolish of him to flunk out. I have no idea what lead to his release from the D League, but that's not a good sign for his NBA prospects. He should probably head over to Europe, or elsewhere. I thought that once he returned from the Butler absence where he cost us a win, he played very well. He looked like an NBA player to me in the Feb/March games.

That being said, I can't hate on him because I have no idea what really happened, and why he was absent.

The drama is undefined. Still don't know what it was. Maybe it was family related? We don't know that. Or, at least I don't.

The drama is undefined. Still don't know what it was. Maybe it was family related? We don't know that. Or, at least I don't.

While he was on the 87ers they played in Westchester three times and he didn't make the trip any of those times.

It actually makes me really sad that this kid with so much talent just can't make it work.

Agreed.  With the limit placed on how many foreign born players allowed on a team and no lack of guys interested in playing over there if things don't work out stateside,  they will drop you quickly knowing they can pick up another American just as good or possibly better.

He should have watched the Lenny Cooke documentary.

Kid should have stayed in school, practiced under Mullin, take his lumps sitting out a year, and become a lottery pick. He's that good but yes the Lenny Cooke comparison is deserving.

Mussini is better with 1/2 the talent.
