Could happen today.

Not confirmed but believe he's still nursing knee injury which would keep him out of action regardless.

That's awesome news. Sucks that he is injured, because I would have liked to watch him get some burn tomorrow.

You gotta love the NCAA phuckery - complete paper bags.

So then maybe Marillac WILL be right after all.  Maybe it is time to think about redshirting him.  If he still has a knee injury then he hasn't been practicing with the team.  When will he be ready, and how effective can he be?  If he's not back soon, maybe it IS time to think about a redshirt.  But then again, I doubt he'd want to.  So we'll probably see him in January.

Why not just let play. And in 4 years recruit another player. If the staff does what they are supposed to we should be done with this problem of not having at team every 4 years .

There is a big difference between redshirting a player because he is injured as opposed to the reason Marillac gave . That said, Unless .the injury is serious. If cleared, he will not redshirt.

That would be our luck. He gets cleared, but he's hurt, and can't play anyway.

Maybe that's why we're hearing BE opener. He could be cleared and healthy by then. Really, we shouldn't need him to beat Incarnate Word. Incarnate Wood is a different story. Much harder opponent.

I don't know, maybe we should start questioning either the strength and conditioning coach and/or the medical staff. Why do we have so many players who are

 1. - Injured
2. -  Can't seem to get back on the court.

Seem a little strange ?

Agree we shouldn't need him vs incarnate word.  Would love to get a healthy Lovett playing by hopefully SC game.  If he's eligible and filly healthy earlier, that's good as well.

No... Players get injuries... Period. Some are minor and get back earlier, some are nagging.

Granted but the number of our injuries and the lack of progress in getting back on the court is disturbing. Are they making any progress ? The projected return dates are never met. When will our guys get back. The dates get revised every week. Makes you wonder if the medical staff knows what it's doing.

Has he been able to practice at all since the season started? Or has he been injured the entire time?

Not only talking about Lovett. How come Williams and Ellison can't get back on the court. Why does Felix seem game to game. And

P.S.

Will he be available ?

He twisted his knee in the red white game.  When you do that you have to come out of the game and pack it in ice.  The initial tweak isn't what causes the injury in these cases, it is the swelling.  He played the rest of the game.  Dumb move.  Now he has missed almost two months of practice.  Knee injuries and head injuries have to be taken seriously.  You have to come out of the game and get treatment.  Especially since it was only a scrimmage.  That much is on the medical staff in my opinion.

Zach B;

Told no decision on Marcus LoVett Jr. eligibility today. Should be "clarity" on decision tomorrow. #sjubb

Was told #sjubb has some of Marcus LoVett Jr.'s fall grades, but not all of them. So that may have something to do with it.

St.John's unofficial liaison to the NCAA Ron Artest, could persuade any professors are taking their sweet time with Marcus LoVett's grades to move it along.
